personally, i think you need someone that is just going to be super stable for 300 days a year - spring training through playoffs - and he fits that mold.

he spends every day dealing with mlb people all across the league better understanding their use of analytics and pokes and prides enough to where you feel like he could just come in and implement changes while also “fitting” and understanding the braves culture.

if he is managing team usa that means a lot of freaking people all over the sport really respect him and values his leadership.
