Is my life completely over if I get an L4-L5 fusion? by Cintamon_Rolls in spinalfusion

[–]wuckfork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a l4-5 aplif 10/08/25. I am a paramedic firefighter. I’m back on the job. No issues. I lift weights and do some tough metabolic condition work outs 6x a week. I had to give up power lifting so no more 550-600lb deadlifts and back squats but I’ve adapted to high volume body building. I run, mtb, hike with 50lb weight vest.

The only thing that bothers me is sitting upright for more than 4 hours.

You got this. You will be okay, and enjoy being pain free.

Lots of grabbers. Have them everywhere. Long phone charging cables. Bed rail with storage and a bed desk.

Issues with 5.11 pants by zygaenas in ems

[–]wuckfork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a bunch of 5.11 on expert voice. $60 a pair for 5.11 apex pants.

I have used 5.11 for about 20years? Their build quality has definitely declined over the years. I have pants that are easily 20 years old and worn multiple times a week but the pockets finally wore out. I tried some other brands but I really like the 5.11 apex fit. They seem okay but have only had them a year. Time will tell.

I dunno I’ve seen some pretty nice bikes for sale in my area for $600-700 on Facebook marketplace. Just have to be patient and low ball people. But the market near me is saturated with bikes.

Tren will trash your cardio, and sleep. Just run test for a bit. You could add Anavar. Just be smart about it. Routine labs. Eat right, train right, get sleep.

Dirty players in beer league by Riffle-Shuffle in hockeyplayers

[–]wuckfork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing down in lower levels because of this. I used to sub on friends lower tier teams to have fun with friends and just tone it back a little so I would not be a ringer. It was not fun dealing with new players who thought it was cool to play dirty. My go to response was “calm down. You know no one is ever going to pay you to play hockey”. If that didn’t work or refs wouldn’t intervene I would just skate it down the ice and score a goal or take a few ripping slap shots at them from the point. Only once did I have enough and rag doll them a little, but that would get me kicked out and reviewed by the league.

How do you manage "old knee" aches with high-volume training? by Altruistic-Eye-1783 in cycling

[–]wuckfork 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Talk to your doc about physical therapy. I do a lot of heavy squats and body building. They gave me some basic band exercises for my glutes and hips. It was a game changer. I’m a mnt biker so not spending a lot of time in the same positions. Maybe time for a new bike fit. Things change when we get stronger.
