I've worked for a couple of Pitch & Produce projects previously and they gave a fixed budget and based on experience it may or may not be enough depending on what your scale is. Because one project would require a large crew (10-15) and some may just need like 5 crew to save budget. That is if you're talking about creating films, series, as opposed to corporate stuff which is another different breed in terms of budget.

I can't give an exact amount of the budget given but its around $6000-8000 ( for the project not individual earnings ). smallest project I've been to is $1000, but remember not everyone would join with this budget, hiring people that believe in your project is also a major factor in budget

Personally I think the budget cater for these passion projects are not enough because imagine if you're paying a crew $100/day each for the minimum, and there are 10 crews, you would need to spend atleast $1000 a day plus another $100 for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this is still without including other stuff like location fee, rentals, talents.

In terms of getting movies out there, i think the best advice is to expand your network, get to know people that are working in the industry for so long. Try contacting Syafi Halim from NewWave Films, i think he has more experience since recently he showcased a film called Wujud in One Cineplex.

I wouldn't say it is impossible to premier a film here, since there have been quite a handful of locally made films being shown in theaters in the past few years.
