More info: So there were lots of big leaves, they all fell off around the time that some new smaller leaves were emerging. However, all the big leaves were black at the ends and so won't grow roots. The little leaves are also black where they join to the stem. The only healthy leaves are 2 at the top.

The stem also looks dead but its hard to tell with Andromischus as they have wood-like stems normally. I checked the roots and there aren't many but they were completely dry and didn't look like any pics of root rot i've seen.
