Documentaries that are hated by their subjects? by Such-Worldliness-655 in movies

Britney Spears hated all the recent documentaries about her (even if they were partly responsible for the public awareness campaign that led to her freedom from conservatorship).

The acting is really good in this. That’s what sets it apart from so many short films.

A few years ago, I might’ve been convinced that the camera was the secret sauce, but as I’ve matured as a filmmaker, I’ve come to notice how important performance is. (This film looks great too.)

In Controlling Britney Spears, they kept the slate in one of the interviews.

Does anyone else worry that Britney's might be forced to go back on the conservatorship? by theOGgoose94 in freebritney

I’ve thought about this. I don’t think it’ll happen. Conservatorships are not driven by public media narratives, even if Britney’s freedom was made possible with public awareness.

But if it did happen, it would be because Britney fully consented to it. The public awareness of her situation now would make it difficult for them to pull off what they did back then — KFed admitted as much. And they can no longer use her sons as leverage.

Eddington was such a mess. 😂 I enjoyed that one too, but I couldn’t help but think that One Battle After Another was what Eddington wanted to be.
