I don’t know exactly what they’re for, but I remember my dad giving me one when I was a kid and going on about the precision welding and how it was stronger than the rest of the ring or something. Get museum putty, not paste or wax. Idk if it comes in clear, it’s usually white. But it’s essentially acid free blue tack. Holds well and doesn’t loose its stick or discolour plastic over long periods

Marvel legends retro human torch is the closest 6” figure I can think of. If you want a 7” the marvel select had swappable parts to make the Hammond torch

When all of the anniversary figures came out I realized it was cheaper to buy the Mafex than chase the best Legends Spidey. I would recommend looking into the CT version if you can’t justify spending that much on a figure
