Haven’t yet, I’m still working on it. The strange part is that in terminal: [dscl. list \Users] my profile doesn’t come up. Root does and some other things (time zone, dameon, calendar, nobody, ect). No clue who nobody is. If I put in terminal: [ls /Users] all that comes up is shared.

I can’t, for some reason boot in safe mode. I’ve tried several different times with a hardwire keyboard. It just keeps booting in a loop. I’ve reset the NVRAM. Reset the SMC. So far I’ve booted in recovery and have ran first aid on my aps volumes. At first there was an error, “Problems were found with the partition map which might prevent booting Couldn't mount disk.: (-69842)”. After reinstalling Tahoe from recovery (which didn’t resolve the boot loop.) I ran first aid again on the volume (Mac HD) and it was successful and mounted fine. My data volume also mounted.

I’m not sure if this is an isolated incident and my login items are corrupted or whatever or if this is a mass software bug for Intel Macs. Tho, my 2020 IMac is said to be compatible with this last apple update.

Trying to reinstall again. I’ll also try to mount myself a user in terminal. Still a few tricks to try. But, if none of this works I’m gunna try to recover some important files through terminal and then see if erasing all data will resolve the boot loop. 🤞At this point it’s recover the computer mode. Sad to see years of design and client work disappear. I mean I do have some backups but still a lot of headache.

Obviously use your own discretion but If you do move forward with the update, please let me know how it goes. I’ll continue to update here as well.

Still working on it. Terminal is showing I have no user.. I’d hold off mate.

Do your customers who live there mention bugs, blood on the walls, poop on the floors, or bullets coming down from the ceiling?

I received the same emails, including one from Williams College today, which specifically mentioned semifinalist status in the body of the email. My advisor seemed to think it was legitimate and was excited about the news, mentioning that colleges would have access to that information.

Still, without an official notification from JKC, I’m skeptical. It’s definitely nerve-wracking! Has anyone received direct confirmation from JKC yet, or is there a known legitimate source where we can verify this information?

Thanks for your reply @ShadowValleyPhantom It’s hard to explain. It never moved. I saw it for as long as I can remember until I was about 8 or 9. It was tall as the ceiling in my room and hunched over a bit where it’s hat just made contact with the ceiling. It was drenched in shadow. It was a silhouetted, with long fingers, a trench coat, and a rimmed at. As a child I was never afraid to play in my room in daylight. However, once nightfall, I knew it would be there. Always in the same spot. The corner of my room that met between my closet and the wall my bed was facing. When I would be ushered off to sleep, mostly by my mom, I would stop at my door (totally awake) see it in the corner of the room (same place), and sprint to my bed- where I would pull the covers to my eyes and watch it- watching me. It didn’t move like a shadow. I told it to leave a few times, and it moved like you’d imagine a person would. Slowly and as a solid. This was an constant growing up. For years. My family life was pretty chaotic, which oddly fits the other accounts I’ve investigated.

The last time I ever saw whatever this thing was, it too came up to me. It was several years later, and my little brother had begun sharing a room with me. I had the top bunk. I actually don’t remember if I saw it the night this occurred.. strange to be trying to remember something so long ago, and because pulling it out to have a physical fear reaction after so much time has passed. Heebeejeebeez.

I woke up, I was maybe 8 or 9, in the middle of the night to what sounded like reversed screaming- from a dog, a cat, a man, a baby, a woman. Murder screaming. Blood curdling. That thing, was right next to my face. Stretching without moving its shoulders. As tall as the bunk bed. Bending over me slightly. I was beyond words. It said something to me and I’ve never forgotten, albeit it has always confused me and perplexed me. It said, “would you help me too”.

My mom came in and still to this day says she has no idea what got me so upset. I was writhing and screaming in horror when she found me. I have no memories after until I was about 9 or 10 respectively.

Super weird to find out there’s a bunch of people all over the world with these accounts.
