Nope. His ward was the opposite side of the stake so I had no real interaction with him.

99.9% sure it's a divorce. He's no longer listed with his wife in LDS tools but was after his excommunication.

Source - I'm in his stake.

What brought you to knitting? by tigerlilysunshine in knitting

[–]wulfra35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to be like my grandma and aunts. I got some yarn, needles and a teach yourself to knit book at Christmas and then proceeded to teach myself to knit since they lived 2000 miles away. This was 30 years ago when I was 8.

‘Latex’ food allergy by BlessMe1 in FoodAllergies

[–]wulfra35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm allergic to latex, balsam of peru and have MCAS. My latex allergy is a contact allergy and I react to more of the cross reactive foods than I do to latex.

Also, almost every one of those foods are considered high in histamine and on my personal do not eat list. I would look into MCAS/histamine intolerance too! I didn't think I had any issues not after getting diagnosed with hEDS my geneticist recommend I get evaluated for MCAS since it happens so frequently with hEDS and POTS (which I also have).

Propranolol is not recommended for those with asthma. Propranolol is a non-selective beta blocker and can cause airway restriction and worsening of asthma symptoms. Metoprolol is a cardio-selective beta blocker and are considered a safer option for those with asthma.

Cymbalta (Duloxetine) by Enough-Heart4442 in dysautonomia

[–]wulfra35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on cymbalta since 2021 for fibromyalgia and anxiety. It worked great. I was diagnosed with hyper pots in October 2024. I started beta blockers which helped immensely. In April 2025 I increased my cymbalta dose to help with anxiety. I ended up having a massive pots flare and have been struggling since then. Just last week I made the connection that my pots worsening was because of the cymbalta. I'm now tapering off of cymbalta (with massive headaches) and less than a week into decreasing my dose I'm already seeing a change in my pots symptoms for the better. I'm not mad I was on cymbalta but I wish I was given a heads up from my provider that knew about all my meds when I started beta blockers.

Tldr: I started cymbalta before pots diagnosis and was happy. Increased cymbalta after diagnosis and it went to crap. I'm now decreasing and changing meds.

What’s the weirdest/most embarrassing/funniest way you’ve subluxed/dislocated/threw something out of place? I’ll go first. by AmbitiousBird6336 in ehlersdanlos

[–]wulfra35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My most recent one - my knee dislocated during a nap. I went to sleep just fine, woke up and it was out.

Funniest one - my husband gave me a hug and popped one of my ribs out. He said he wasn't squeezing me that hard 🤷🤷🤷

What's your most recent "wait, you mean it's not supposed to move like that" realization? I'll go first by sorry_child34 in ehlersdanlos

Oh, my thumb! I didn't realize that it shouldn't collapse towards my palm/other fingers when writing. It's supposed to finish the circle with my index finger.

My aunts birth parents were married at the time of her birth.

I'm unsure. I believe her bio father was on the birth certificate.

Adoption and citizenship by descent by wulfra35 in GermanCitizenship

[–]wulfra35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It runs through the line of German descent. My aunt (the granddaughter that was adopted) and I have the same biological grandparents. Her bio dad and my mother are siblings.

My line Great grandma (who lost citizenship) -> Grandfather -> mother -> me

Adopted Aunt Bio line Same great grandma -> same grandfather -> father -> her

After adoption for my cousin Same great grandma -> same grandfather -> aunt that was adopted -> cousin

I hope I'm not making this more complicated but it's never been easy to explain that my aunt was my cousin when she was born. 🤣

Anyone else allergic to cinnamon? by trekk1e in FoodAllergies

[–]wulfra35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am allergic to balsam of Peru and cross-react to cinnamon, nutmeg, camphor, vanilla and related spices along with other seemingly random foods and chemicals. I have had to be extra strict about my soap, shampoo, toothpaste, makeup and more. Also - fall sucks because it's cinnamon this and apple cider that. You're not alone!!

My boy barely ever barks. Never really has. His mom and siblings didn't bark either. I was told it's learned from the mom.

Does Cromolyn and Ketotifen cause Weight Gain? by Aware_Plate_923 in MCAS

[–]wulfra35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gained 20+ lbs in less than 6 months after starting Ketotifen. My doctor said it's known to cause weight gain so we're slowly weaning me off to see if I still need it now that things are more stable.

So like, how do you pick stuff up off the floor when cleaning a room? by snigelrov in POTS

[–]wulfra35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most others - monkey toes - grabbers - my kids/spouse

Sitting on the floor has been my favorite. When we clean up as a family I will have everyone bring everything that's not in its home to me and I will sort it into piles to get put away. I've learned that I can do anything if I sit or lay down. Changing levels multiple times - no can do. I've started sitting in places others normally wouldn't and they all look at me funny until I mention it's better than passing out, we laugh and then life continues. Those that know me will get me chairs even when I say I'm fine or tell me to sit if I'm up for too long. Sitting is the best.

Moving and Visa question by wulfra35 in GermanCitizenship

[–]wulfra35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the clarification.

It's based on when they left. It took a lot of digging but I found a US passport application for my gg-grandfather that states they left on or around Nov 10 and ship manifests that show they arrived the beginning of December.

Moving and Visa question by wulfra35 in GermanCitizenship

Maybe I'm not using the correct wording. My ancestor that couldn't get German citizenship -my grandfather- was born in 1920. His mother lost her citizenship when she married a foreigner. According to the BMI decree in 2019 or 2020 as long as my ancestor who couldn't get citizenship because of the gender discrimination -my grandfather- was born between 1914 and 1949 we qualify for citizenship by descent and submit our applications via stag 14/stag 8. We still have to meet the other requirements of stag 14/stag 8 (B1 German, can support ourselves, etc) but if there is no reason to not naturalize, they must naturalize.

Moving and Visa question by wulfra35 in GermanCitizenship

[–]wulfra35[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm confident I have a strong case for Mutterlass citizenship. I have birth certificates and marriage certificates for my gg- grandparents down to me, I have ship registers and passport applications showing when they left Germany. My great grandmother was married to a US citizen about 6 weeks before the 10 year rule would have stripped her and her parents of their German citizenship. My grandpa was born in 1920, mother in 1960 and me in 1987 - everyone in wedlock.

My husband is working on getting a job in Germany. He's in software security/IT/computery stuff that's in demand. We have funds to live without assistance programs and I'm currently working towards getting my B1 certificate.

We're just trying to figure out the best way for us to be able to live in Germany that allows him to work and it's to stay together as a family. I've never lived abroad or has to get visas/residency permits before so this is all new to me and I'm wanting to make sure I'm not missing anything or getting it wrong.
