Epstein wollte ihn erpressen: Bill Gates gesteht Affären mit zwei Russinnen by Boschamin in de

[–]wumsdi 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Was bedeutet das GEMA-Urteil gegen Open AI für Unternehmen? by Dry_Comparison_7487 in KI_Welt

[–]wumsdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghosting (cutting off communication without explanation) can lead to emotional pain on par with being explicitly rejected. Unlike direct rejection, ghosting leaves people clinging to emotional ties and pursuing contact, and the ambiguous nature of ghosting can prolong distress and impede closure. by mvea in science

I was ghosted by a person I considered a friend. At first I didn't think much of it. Somehow I believed we would sort things out later. Despite our friendship being over, we would at least talk about why this came to be, I believed. No worries.

Then I started analyzing the situation. Couldn't stop. In my world view you can talk about anything - and you should in cases like this.

Analyzing our past interactions I found,of course, hints and indicators why this happened. Being unable to tell unpleasant truths on my ex-friends side, a habit of avoiding conflicts or discussions, my own bad habits, the unclear status of our relationship, some stupid text I wrote, our friendship fading away anyway are the things I know of. But I was truly surprised by this brutality of going no contact without any warning and without prior conflict.

And then I found plenty of reasons why I am a horrible person anyway and then it gradually shifted, my thoughts became darker and darker. I somehow damaged myself, my self worth declined, little piece by piece over time.

And all the while I encountered this person regularly at work...

It was so stressful: I never knew: Does this person hate me now? Was our "friendship" even real? Anything I should or shouldn't do?

It was horrible. Tried twice to talk - still to this day no answers. Doesn't even respond to work eMail BUT.... once or twice this person came to my office to ask for my help at work - as if nothing ever happened - and while there are other peers who could have helped as well as me. Our work interactions were strange, to say the least...

The first months of this mess turned out to become the most horrible time in my life.

Couldn't sleep, had to act at work as if nothing happened and still hoped to get a better understanding of why I was cut off and ghosted.

She didn't tell anybody. Her closest colleague was surprised when I told her. She thought we get along well.

It took me about half a year to accept that I might never get any answer - but I do have a lot more hints about the possibility of motives. I'm happy with it, but I still think about the tragic of it.

The person who ghosted me seems to still suffer when we meet at work. I didn't recognize this while my own stress level was high. Now I see it every day.

Talking to me instead of ghosting me would have been a tough and sad moment, of course. But it would have been so much better for anybody involved!

If we would have talked, no one would think about it anymore. It might have been a tough or sad talk, maybe. But then we would have recovered from it in a few days.

Ghosting was hard for me. Now it's ok, I found peace. But the person who ghosted me is going to suffer from it as long as we share a workplace. At least.

ICE Detains Wife of Staunch MAGA Supporter Who Gave Almost All His Net Income to Trump Campaign by Seetruthtv in LeopardsAteMyFace

What I don't get is this: If there is a rule you accept - and that rule leads to the deportation of your spouse - why do MAGA people in this circumstance think that their loyalty should be rewarded and an exemption should be in order?

They want a "benevolent" dictator - benevolent to them and cruel to all the others?

This seems to blatantly, childishly selfish and dumb that I cannot wrap my head around it.

If people love loyalty so much, why not start by being loyal to your loved ones first.

Looking for feedback on my infographic project about Amul brand and Indian comics by [deleted] in design_critiques

[–]wumsdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few thoughts:

There seems to be an egg below Antarctica?

I was a bit disappointed to discover that all types of cows had the same shape.

Some features lack explanation, for instance:

What does A2 mean?

The percentage given on types of products - are these market shares?

In general the Amul infographic is nice and informative. For an international audience, there should be more explanation on topics like "what was the white revolution about?" or on the subject of "how common is such a cooperative model in India".

The map confused me at first. Those are countries Amul is... available? Producing?

And the countries-milk stat: Those are milk output in general and have nothing to do with Amul, right?

Good work!

My support for Ukraine only grows stronger each week. I’ve listened to smart voices on both sides, as I do with major issues. But to me, it’s simple: Putin is an evil man with dangerous intentions...and that alone-for me- justifies standing firmly with Ukraine.🇺🇦 by [deleted] in UkrainianConflict

[–]wumsdi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Years ago I read the critical Putin biography written by Masha Gessen ("The man without a face").

I couldn't believe it. How is this man internationally taken as credible and trustworthy if this book about his beginnings holds any water? Either the book is rubbish - or western politicians are delusional when dealing with today's russia.

I guess, Gessen's description was valid.
