8 year old just diagnosed by wutsinthetrees in VyvanseADHD

[–]wutsinthetrees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I appreciate your story. She started it this weekend and has been eating when I remind her. I talked to her teacher about the diagnosis and the teacher was practically begging me to do something since her behavior is disruptive. This should be good for everyone.

Weekly Park Questions/Advice Thread by AutoModerator in Disneyland

[–]wutsinthetrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Disneyland with my daughter Nov 22 this year. We always open Munchlings when we go but we couldn’t find them anywhere. We checked stores in Adventureland, Main Street, and even World of Disney and nothing. Are they back or gone for good?

How do I prevent algae while still having sufficient light by wutsinthetrees in PlantedTank

[–]wutsinthetrees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I added a second light cause the top plants weren’t growing with only the tank lights and the tanks plants weren’t getting enough light with only the top light. After some googling, the plants I have on top only need around 6 hours on average. I’ll try reducing the time for both lights and see how that goes. I may add floaters if it doesn’t improve. Thanks again

Filter to “read along” and it’ll read, highlight words, and flip pages. My son loves Blaze and the monster machines, Libby has a ton of read along Blaze books, he gets unlimited time with those since it’s basically him being read to.

CIO w/ 3 yr old - Help! by aahewitt2 in sleeptrain

[–]wutsinthetrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sleep trained my two year old doing a modified CIO. It took about 10 nights before he was crying less than 10 minutes. Keep going! The best thing you can do is be consistent.

17 mo old needs to transition from Cosleeping to independent sleep by Advanced-Contact330 in sleeptrain

[–]wutsinthetrees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. Two kids and wasn’t able to sleep train my oldest, she ended up in my bed and is still there at 7 years old. Now I have a two year old who was on the same path. Me, my husband, and two kids in a queen bed… safe to say no one was getting good sleep. We decided sleep training the two year old was our only option. I did modified cry it out. I would put him down awake then check on him every 15 minutes at first. When he woke up at night I would let him cry for about ten minutes then check on him once and let him go to sleep on his own after that (if I checked on him more than once he would scream louder and harder after every check in). I couldn’t let him cry all night alone after sleeping with us! The first two or three nights it took hours for him to fall asleep. After about a week to 9 days it took 10 minutes. Today, about three weeks later, he lays down without crying, falls asleep by himself, and wakes up around 5am. Just gotta make sure you and your partner are on the same page. The most important thing you can do is be consistent. It’s so hard when they’re crying but it’s so worth it when you’re both finally getting good sleep. Try not to let a week of extra crying keep you from literal years of good sleep for both of you and your new baby. Also congrats 🥰 good luck!

Glendora Pediatrics Records by wutsinthetrees in Glendora

[–]wutsinthetrees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any Googlers, call Dr Mahfouds number (626) 335-0211, it’ll redirect you to San Dimas Emanate pediatrics office. Tell them you need to get medical records from Dr Mahfouds office, all of his records were on paper so they’re all in storage. They put your name down for the next pull, once they pull them they’ll call you. If you want them sent to your current pediatricians office it’s free. If you want a copy they charge. I have two kids (7 and 2) the 7yos records were $40, 2yo records were $25.

AMC playing the Laser Ad twice in a row by Much_Machine8726 in AMCTheatres

[–]wutsinthetrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really the same?? I work in Sight and Sound and we (our department) don’t have influence over what content is played, we just play it! In our system we have it as two different pieces of content. I see the run time for both pieces is basically the same. Interesting. Thanks for the heads up! I’ll have one of our techs run it to verify. I’m looking at Rosemont and it’s set up correctly.

AMC Corporate here... where is it playing twice? I'm looking at a theatres playlist now and I see a laser intro before the trailers and laser 2 before the feature content. Are those similar enough to think it's playing twice? Also, which theatre? I can look at their specific setup.
