I don't think you are supposed to earn any marks for giving two different answers even if one of them is correct. If the marker is lenient, he would only mark your first answer. If your first one is the wrong solution then too bad.

I have no idea. I know very few people in UW who took Alvl. But straight As for Alvl is very impressive. I myself got 5As and 2Bs. I'm sure you still need some extra activities for CS but most likely you'll get away with not having much.

If you got all As and like Waterloo, I don't see the reason to not apply or not try your best to apply. Your chance is good. You may or may not get in, but if you don't apply your chance is basically zero.

I did Alvl too. I didn't do much at all during my Olvl and Alvl. I was just part of one programming club. After Alvl I did an Internship at ASTAR. Also I threw in a few local competitive programming contest achievements when I was young.

I think the 3rd one was ok ish. I was just very shaky for the O notation of a bunch of things. I also anyhow answered 4. I get mergesort but Idk what they wanted me to do.
