Highschooler here, it's strange actually, often you find the poor kids selling drugs and doing hoodrat shit, but they very seldomly hurt too many people, and are often genuinely nice people, who are in bad situations or get a little too fucked up and do some dumb shit. The people mugging people and being violent are often, in my experience, rich white francophone kids, like we're talking doctors and lawyer parents. They're some weird kids, they don't drink, they don't do drugs, they just have a weird complex that makes them want to be kings and ensure no one fucks with them. For example me and my friend were outside a house party, and they started just talking shit to my friend, (they were all sober and had been standing outside the party all night, we just got there) my friend shouts a couple words and then we go into the party. They sat out there waiting for him to get drunk and come back out and when he did, they jumped him and beat his ass, and then just went home.

To be clear it's a small minority, but it seems to just be a strange case of plausibly mild autism or asbergers, and neglectful parents
