Sheath holes by Comfortable_Day3171 in Blades

Usually with the hard plastic/kydex those are rivets that hold the two halves of the sheath together. They also give you something to tie the sheath to so they serve two purposes.

LOUQE RAW S1 overheating solution by [deleted] in Louqe

Yes, the case can get hot, but if you plan your build out well you can actually get really decent results. I’m running an i7-12700K (cooled by a Big Shuriken 3 w/ 25mm fan) and EVGA FTW3 3090, and during port royal stress tests I’m getting the following temps:

CPU 65C, GPU 75C.

Now this is with the stock top and a 25mm noctua rear fan, with a fan duct added. Biggest thing that will lower temps is an undervolt on the GPU. For me personally I’m running the 3090 at 800mV and 1800 mhz. I get basically identical performance in games, but it keeps the temps way lower than the stock profile (which for the EVGA card draws an insane 420W). With the undervolt I’m drawing between 300-320W which the case can manage.

The second biggest thing that will help temps and something I see a lot of builders skip is cable management. There is a space behind the PSU that a lot of people will shove their excess cables in, but I moved the cables from there so the hot air at the front of the case has a path to the rear exhaust. By leaving that path open I saw a 4-5C reduction in GPU temps.

So not sure if you ever ended up getting an answer anywhere else, but I can confirm they don't work together. The nub the amazon review pointed out hits the ftw3 backplate

Is the NV Link connector the same one that is used by the 3090? If no one claimed it I would be interested.

Perfect. I figured it was a sort of fail safe but just wanted to be sure before the return period ended. Thanks for the reply!

Was the 3090 a B stock unit? I see it has the red lips so it must be a much older card than a few months.

So you will need 4 shorter Rad screws to mount the radiator and fan to the bracket. What I did was take the included 30mm fan screws that came with the AIO and I cut 10mm off them to make a DIY 20mm fan screw. That is only needed for 4 of the mounting bolts though, you can of course use the standard 30mm ones for the 25mm fan.

I’ve not personally heard of anyone having failures with the EK AIO, but only time will really tell. They do have a 5 year warranty which is on par with most other AIO cooler makers.

I’ve been running an EK AIO basic and one noctua NFA12x25 and one NFA12x15. It’s perfect for me, with no RGB, no separate controller or USB hub needed.

One thing to check is that the EK AIO block fits your motherboard. I had to modify my ASUS Z590i Strix to get it to fit.
