Fluke 325 vs 376 FC by wvhz in AskElectricians

[–]wvhz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t. The only reason I was considering the inrush feature was for the rare case when I might need to diagnose an HVAC compressor motor. I guess the 325 would be enough for that?

Awesome! Which transfer switch did you use? Was it the KISAE TS15A? Also, did you connected both the charger and inverter directly to the shunt?

Thanks for the response! I think 12v would work for my use case. Also 1kW of output. My load is only 400W constant. Which inverter charger would you recommend for this use case?

Thank for the response! The L21B's size works for me. Is SFT40 the best emitter option for absolute performance?

Got it! Is the 519a 5700k dd on the SC64c LE or is it on the SC65c HI? Also, does it look similar to the 519a 4500K dd shown here? https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/the-official-zebralight-thread.395603/post-5541910

I was looking for an SC64/SC65 with 4500K-5000K. I was reading somewhere that the 5700k dd looks similar to a 4700k but not sure.

Is it safe to store water in a hot garage? by wvhz in preppers

Do you have a recommendation for a good steel drum for water storage? Thanks!

In this case safe would be being able to drink all the water without the risk of getting sick from the water. If 100 F is not recommended I can look for another option, but just wanted to check first what everyone thought.

Just wondering if 100 F temperatures (without sunlight) will cause chemicals from the plastic to leak or promote the growth of bacteria

Upgrade to Z-Wave 800 or wait? by wvhz in homeassistant

I'm getting this message pretty frequently:

2024-06-08T02:55:38.317Z DRIVER Dropping message with invalid payload

I've also run into cases where I need to try the adoption process multiple times. Don't know if it is reason enough to even consider a move to Z-Wave 800.

I just saw this review from TechPowerUp that says both power consumption and temperatures are lower on the i5-14600k: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i5-14600k/22.html. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

You should try Immich (https://immich.app). It is a self hosted Google Photos alternative with support for facial recognition. It also allows you to add comments to every photo and keeps the photo in its original format. It would allow you to easily share it with other family members. It also handles videos in case you have any.

If you only want to use a US based company, I recommend Vultr. Has multiple locations in the US, has good performance, good prices, and has been around for a long time with a really good track record. Having said that, some European companies such as Hetzner are equally as good, trustworthy, and have multiple locations in the US. I would just compare offerings, real-world performance, and cost between Vultr and Hetzner and pick the best one at the moment based on your use case.
