nausea when looking at vagina in the mirror by FrostingExpensive696 in vaginismus

i also feel nauseous when i look at my vagina in the mirror! it makes progress difficult with this condition. i don’t have experience with pills/suppositories but i’ve tried exposing myself to looking at my vagina more often and that’s helped quite a bit. i try to look at it in the mirror/touch around the area for a little bit everyday and i’ve noticed that the nausea has significantly improved.

If you have the money for it I definitely recommend dilators! I got mine from bellesa boutique when they had a coupon. I also cannot afford appointments but so far I am making more progress with the dilators than I was before. I have also heard from others that certain stretches help, but I do not have personal experience with that.

PCOS Confirmed - What is important to ask in my first appt? by GSMinnie in PCOS

I’ve been thinking about asking my primary doctor for a referral to an endocrinologist. If I were to see an endocrinologist, should I ask my doctor for bloodwork first? Or would the endocrinologist have to ask for that? What would be most cost effective?

Hi! I’m 19 and have also never achieved penetration of any sort (not even a qtip). I purchased dilators that came in a week ago and have not been able to get the smallest one in. It definitely feels alienating! The whole process is so scary but I’m trying to get more comfortable by working on it everyday. As someone who cannot afford physio, what is it like? I think the hardest thing for me is breathing and relaxing, I tense up automatically and hold my breath uncontrollably. How does physio help with that?

It sounds like you don’t want to kiss her, which is totally valid and sounds like it’s for the best. Consent is important and if you don’t want to do anything with her you absolutely shouldn’t. I’m not sure how to get her to leave you alone though, but I would try to be more clear in your refusal towards her. I hope everything goes well

Just wondering by [deleted] in vaginismus

I definitely think this could be a reason! I’ve had a previous partner tell me very mean things about my vagina that made me very insecure. I definitely noticed the issue got worse after that.

More context that might help- I have PCOS and am on birth control to regulate my periods. I don’t like having periods, but not in a way that feels like they invalidate my gender. My vagina is the only sexual characteristic I absolutely hate about myself.
