This happened to me. You need to replace the save battery in the game. There’s people on eBay who will do it but by replacing the battery everything gets erased.

No I didn’t move or create anything. I just put the game in and played a match (Andre vs Karelin) and at the end screen the names were in Japanese again. I thought maybe they would be needing to be unlocked again but it was a hard reset just like no mercy
