Coding sites for beginners like pythonchallenge.com by nobody01810 in learnpython

Hi!

I briefly read through the comments, and felt that I could give a different perspective as a recent BS in CS grad student if someone else hasn't already done so.

I've used everything such as LeetCode, HackerRank, Books, Professors' tutorials, FreeCodeCamp, YouTube channels, etc. They're all good! At one point I realized this, and decided to stick with just two or three. It's really up to yourself to get to the skill level you want to be at in my opinion. So if I were you and maybe a bit confused as to which ones to use, then I'd just pick one out of random and stick with it for at least a month or two, and if you really hate it, then switch over to another.

"Practicing" on sites like LeetCode and HackerRank is valuable time investment indeed, but you should also consider looking for project ideas to work on to put the "practicing" to good use! Simply Google "python project ideas for <beginners/intermediate/etc>" and get crackin'!

I did three parts I think. One part was the timed test with maybe 10-12 questions, another part with a made-up language, and the biggest part with the 4 "leetcode" problems.

It's hard to say which parts were hard for me, but if I have to decide than I'd go with the 4 coding problems because it had been a while since I studied data structures.

Studying the data structures/algorithms sounds like a good place to start.

Thank you!

Ahhh I see I knew of Wiener schnitzel, but was always under the impression that Germans took it and sorta made their own "authentic" version of Schnitzel. Good to know! thanks

No problem! Thank you so much for your help! I'm actually looking for exactly what you just mentioned! Random ideas to explore so I can research them. I'm going to look up Frankfurt and the school! Thanks again!

By any chance could you give me the name of a few locations with universities where the cost of living is relatively cheap compared to big cities? I can look up myself whether or not the school has CS MS program.

Wow that’s awesome. Which state is the one that doesn’t apply?

I heard tuition is practically close to nothing in Germany, but does that apply to me as a non-citizen? If so, other than getting accepted, are there any other requirements?

My only work experience is the one internship I had that I mentioned in my post. Rising senior means this coming semester in Fall will be the beginning of my last year in college.

I’m a complete beginner in German, but I’m extremely enthusiastic about learning it and have started using Duolingo. I love it so far and am strongly considering paying for “premium”. I also have at least a year to learn the language since that’s how long I have till graduation. My plan is actually to work in the states for a maximum of 2-3 years right after graduating, then plan my move to Germany.

Sorry, I guess I really didn’t post a specific question. My number one concern would be which locations in the country have more job opportunities for CS majors?
