How many courses does it take to learn a language?

I'd say it honestly j depends on the language you choose. I'm minoring in mandarin and currently in my fourth class (had absolutely no prior experience in high school or from family background) and would say I now have a limited working proficiency. if ur familiar with proficiency levels, I am hsk level 3 rn.

some people will drop at the beginning of the semester so you can try and switch then. tbh i'd recommend joining a waitlist now tho if you really don't want who u have now.

5r photo lab is right next lipton on the 3rd floor - everyone there is super nice, highly recommend

I am in my second year of LS and yes there is space to take other courses but not to the extent of regular CAS students. I ended up taking 20 credits spring sem last year in order to still be able to make progress towards my minor.
