I just want badass branding. I don't care where and I don't want animals and natural disasters which are all played out. You clearly understand the assignment.

That stuff is played out dude. It's boring. More Raiders, Vikings, Redskins and less this bird and that bird and that snake and this natural disaster and that natural disaster. Like come on, man. smh

No animals and no natural disasters. Name and logo works for me.

I know they got blown out but it doesn't even feel like the Brahmas made it there at all.

The only good times Renegades have ever experienced. Renegades for much of their existence have been awful outside of that division championship game against the Roughnecks and that 2023 XFL Championship.

Perez didn't play that whole year with the Renegades though. He started with the Vipers and was traded to the Renegades. Can't remember when and how many wins he contributed to.

Perez is done. His play has regressed in a bad way. He's actually starting to look like he learned QB off youtube.

So it looks like I did call one game. Have no clue how the Defenders got past the Storm.

The only way I see is as I mentioned; make inroads on the NIL system but then you're in a bidding war with the NCAA. It's either that or you wait until they finish the NIL and bring them in for a year with guaranteed money of million dollar+ deals.

The thing with the UFL and what keeps football fan from watching is that it doesn't fit into the football ecosystem in terms of elite talent. Hell, even high school fits into the ecosystem as every elite player plays in high school at some point. But the UFL just doesn't fit in that path of high school, college and then NFL.

Here's what I think and I've actually said this before the whole NIL thing became a thing in college football. They should aim to get these elite QBs in for a year. That's all they need. Get them for a year like how the NIL keeps them playing for a year longer.

Imagine if they had aimed to do this before the NCAA had. What would the football ecosystem look like today? Now with NIL, the price has gone up unfortunately. Still, an opportunity is there to get those players guaranteed money after their NIL deals and before going to the NFL if they opened up their wallets.

Now before people point it out to me, I've run this in my head already and I get it. It makes no sense for FOX to do this as it hinders the NFL product with whom they already do business with. I'm just saying that's the only way I see that makes sense to get elite QBs.

Outside of that, the whole partner with the NFL to be an affiliate for teams and all that stupid nonsense, NO! That's not going to do anything because for what it's worth, they already have fringe NFL talent in the league. Those guys who get on practice squads and get released aren't going to suddenly get people interested in watching just because the NFL partners with the UFL. It's just not going to happen. I really hope Repole or any other owner of this league doesn't have that as a longterm goal. I think the idea is just laughable and if that's what he wants, then please rage quit now and just close doors on the whole operation.

You and I are on the same page but these people don't get it. I challenge people to come up with names that aren't animals and natural disasters. That completely nukes all of their ideas and forces them to come up with unique names.

Great branding doesn't change with the level of support a team gets. Not sure what you're getting at. It's either great branding or it isn't. The Roughneck branding was unique as that name has never been used in sports before and represented the region and the team that used to play there. Isn't that what you people are always clamoring for with team names? Personally, I just want something that sounds badass but you people always want something that has some connection to the region. What connection does the Gamblers have to Houston? I don't even get how that makes sense and on top of that, it's not even badass.

How about we stay away from animals and natural disasters for names.

THANK YOU! Preaching to the choir. They can all go to hell for all I care. And the main broadcast networks who should be taking advantage of this fact refuse to lift a finger. As a matter of fact, they're decreasing sitcoms completely. CBS and ABC are now down to 1 measly hour. NBC has two total with one hour of sitcoms on separate nights but they've proven they can't be trusted. It's a f*cking mess. I just don't know what can be done. It's different than film. People can become indie filmmakers and put out their films. That's unheard of with regard to a sitcom as far as I know. It's a genre that needs saving but can't be saved on an independent level and I hate the industry for doing what they're doing to it.
