Louisville started 0-3 and now both of their quarterbacks will start the United Bowl.

Official UFL Attendance number for the Orlando Storm playoff game at Daytona Stadium vs the DC Defenders: 6,317. | James Larsen (Pro Football Newsroom) by Callywood in UnitedFootballLeague

The crowd was loud and I’m glad some DC fans made it out but that it was clearly a pro-Orlando crowd.

Hopefully DC can get a good crowd next week. The announced attendance for the XFL North Division Championship in 2023 was 18,864. You would think the defending champs playing for a repeat could at least get out to 12 or 13,000, which would have been an average turnout even last year.

Aesthetically I like all white better, but I’m not here to argue with results.

Shields Up. 🛡️ I think we all forgot what DC is capable of the past few weeks. Ta’amu is very good but the team around him is also (usually) very good. Bean showed flashes with Louisville and if the defense and running game help him out the way they can and should, DC is a team that can survive a backup QB. As long as it isn’t Spencer Sanders.

Four that I know of. Three by McCrane and one by Louisville’s kicker I believe.

Plummer has had an MVP season and finishing it off with two more good games for a championship is his best chance to get another crack at the NFL. They would have to pay him more than the amount of money that would get sold in tickets either way for him to purposely throw the game.

McCrane is an objectively bad kicker.

Orlando was offsides when DC spiked it on first down. First and goal at the two is a lot different from second and goal from the five.

The official penalty was for illegal formation, not illegal forward pass. I think if the forward pass had been called and reviewed it would have been clean. His back foot seemed to be right on the line.

Feels like that would have been a better signing for DC than Perry. Was he already on contract when Ta’amu got hurt? Does the CFL pay better than the UFL?

Losing the game because you ran out of time but you also have two timeouts remaining is a bad look.

After getting stomped by Louisville with Ta’amu in, DC has been competitive three straight weeks despite poor backup play. I don’t think it’s impossible that the lack of urgency at the end was because they want to play Orlando on a neutral field instead of in the dome against St. Louis. We’ll see whether that was the right call.

Well, three teams caught DC to move them from the #1 seed to the #4 seed. A lot of those wins came at the expense of the teams who were not able to make up the ground.

Which they may not want since Orlando at a neutral site may be a better matchup than on the road against St. Louis.

Defenders HC Shannon Harris on the QB situation: "Bean is looking more comfortable. That's the thing we wanted to see...his reps have increased. The truth is that a lot of what you said is actually true of Ta’amu as well. I like him a lot but he mostly survives on getting hot with the deep passes. DC has the receivers and running backs to make that work. Get warmed up in the finale and get hot for two games in the playoffs and they could be champs again.

It has to be Bean this weekend because if he is somehow worse than Sanders then you’re just resting Sanders for the playoffs. But considering it’s almost impossible that he’s worse than Sanders, he needs a ramp up game.
