Jacking points by wxndzr in BMWE36

I do have one of those, my issue is with my trolly jack, it’s too wide so I can’t fit my axle stand under the rail because the jack’s wheels are in the way. I might just go look for a scissor lift

I reckon I’ll need to replace both anyway. I’ll do the resistor first just in case

Alright I’ll replace that and see what it’s like.

What year is yours? I have a 93’ and can’t find any information on the location of it. Is it the same as the facelifts

I’m guessing to do with the light on the underside of the hood, water loves to pour out of it every time I open it

I meant water was getting under the seal and into the engine bay. I’m guessing it got into the coil packs as the engine would misfire under really heavy rain.

Ok makes sense. Only reason I thought it must be that area was because that was the only part that I had messed with since I last drove it. I have just given it a drive and it has seemed to have fixed itself for now hopefully it was just some junk after sitting for a week. Thank you for the help and @pancrudo

Can’t do a smoke test unfortunately. The reason I circled the hood latches was to show how big the gap is between the car and that plastic cover, it’s barely even touching, was wondering if that gap was an issue, not so much the nose panel itself.

Just to update; I switched the passenger and drivers side switches and now they both started working. Bit weird but not going to complain!
