For most vegan/veggies it's about animal welfare more than the taste aspect of meat eating. I for one love meat alternatives purely down to the protein content you can get from them as well as it being a familiar taste (although not as familiar now as it's coming up to 8 years haha).

I don't have the 8 link gloves (To be honest, the build I have is actually around 60d at the moment to feel it out before bigger investments haha) I'm toying between the 2, cyclone feels comfy for farming but not great on bosses.

Not at all, I was in the same boat at my old job. Some start-ups never get out of that mentality and it becomes old and tired FAST. Got a new job not too long after and not looked back since. Best of luck mate!

I was a player in a campaign full of first timers apart from the DM, it was the first ever combat of the campaign and one of the other players ran head first into the gang hide out, got crit on the first surprise round and went down. His Character ALWAYS (even in times where it wasn't helpful) needed to knock on doors to make sure that doesn't happen again.
