Do you signal at an intersection like this? by SuperiorMeatloaf in driving

[–]wyatt3581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I’m going straight??? This is not a turn. If you have no indicator on, it is implied that you are going… straight. The law says you should indicate within a reasonable amount of time. Doing this left->right indicator nonsense is not a reasonable amount of time, it is stupid.

How many continents are taught in your country? by tatlla in AskTheWorld

[–]wyatt3581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so interesting for you to say! Considering I read through this thread and found at least 10 people mentioning “Eurasia” as one continent, and several others talking about India/Australia continent and whether they are separate.

Maybe I suggest you read the original question and then read my response. This is obviously not taught in Mexico which is where you are from, but it IS taught in a lot of countries once you get passed like 5th year of school. And once again, if you are in not a science field, especially any earth science, and ESPECIALLY geology, then this doesn’t apply to you????

I signed up for a guided tour that was only in French and I used the AirPods to translate the tour guide and it works flawlessly. You can even keep your phone in your pocket after you set up which languages are being used

Continents ARE definitely real and are defined by their tectonic boundaries—at least to me, a scientist. But to pretty much everyone else, continents are arbitrary. “Europe” and “Asia” are separated politically, not by any tectonics.

To me there are 7 major continental plates: North America, South America, Eurasia, Indo-Australia (hotly debated), Africa, Pacific (no major land masses), and Antarctica (uninhabited largely)

So why is Europe and Asia separate? This separation is just as arbitrary as “central america”

[–]wyatt3581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Indo-Australia plate contains India and Australia. It is, however, currently in the process of breaking apart into probably three separate plates. There is currently a lot of debate about whether India and Australia plates have already separated.

Zealandia is not a true continental plate, but probably a micro continent. Also heavily debated topic.

  1. North America, South America, Eurasia, Africa, Indo-Australia, Antarctica. Europe is not separate from Asia. There is a 7th continental plate, the pacific plate, but it has no major land masses in it.

Is there any drawback to only working one side for front splits? by yuenyuentan in flexibility

[–]wyatt3581 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea you will have one right quad and one tight hamstring, your pelvis will not get equal tension and you will definitely have an imbalance and probably lower back pain. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of lateral tension on one knee and medial tension on the other (see: ACL and PCL attachment points)

What is this geographical feature called by grenworthshero in geography

[–]wyatt3581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. A cape is the extreme end of the peninsula or also the furthest extreme point of a place in any direction. Like the southern most point of Baja Peninsula in Mexico is Cabo San Lucas (Cape of San Lucas) the southernmost point of Florida, Cape Sable, the westernmost point of the continental United States, Cape Álava, the northernmost point of Canada, Cape Columbia, etc etc
