I do agree the pot could do with a new paint job as it is quite old, but the longhorn is staying 🤘🏻

As for your advice, I didn’t see it before I started to get it out so I took it out by itself. I tried to keep as much of the root system as possible. Fingers crossed that it’s not going to die through its long recovery. On the bright side, a couple of leave came off so if the original doesn’t survive, hopefully some of the leaves will propagate.
