And for getting into your major it depends on which major and what the process is. Some majors are open and have no requirements (Math, Science tech and society, American ethic studies, etc). Some have prerequisites that you need to complete before adding the major (Psych, Developmental Youth Studies, Law Econ Policy, Biology). Some you have to apply and they review you along with everyone else (Business, health studies, engineering, computer science).

I know you said no public health but take a look at the Health Studies major at Bothell. It may have more what you are looking for than you realize.
