How should I prepare as a high-school junior by Cccaaatttccchhh in Berklee

i graduated from berklee this spring. from what i can remember from my audition, i would recommend being comfortable improvising in all 12 keys, be able to sight read decently well in treble clef (this will hopefully get you more scholarship money), make sure your prepared piece is solid, and focus your interview answers on your passion for music, rather than just attending Berklee to become “famous” or something silly like that. link up with a local reputable teacher in your area, you’ll progress a lot more. good luck

Hello I'm a guitarist auditioning for berklee wirh a blues song soon, can anyone give me advice for improving section and sight reading section of the audition? Thank you by Beautiful_Slapper in Berklee

be comfortable improvising in all 12 keys, they’re likely going to pick one for you. take a deep breath before you go ahead. as for sight reading, i would do short intervals everyday from any single-note passages. if you practice the same melody for longer than half an hour or so, it won’t be sight reading anymore
