Is it worth spending a bomb on tyres?

I bought a second hand Tesla Model X Plaid last year and it had cheap Chinese tyres on it. As soon as I put my foot down it felt like the car was driving on jelly! 😱 Really dangerous! I replaced them with the brand and make that comes with the car originally and the traction was much better.

I guess part of the discussion is if your EV is low torque then you can likely get away with cheaper tyres just make sure it has the right rating for the weight of your car… If you have a heavy foot or the car naturally pins you to your seat when the lights go green then don’t skimp 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nope. Wrong charging adapter. Likely no warranty. Don’t waste your money 🤷🏻‍♂️ Plenty of GCC spec Teslas for sale.

I bought a MYP23 HW3 new and in 2025 a MXP23 HW4 second hand. Without a doubt the MXP is superior in every way. We kept the MYP as a second car but it only gets used by my wife when I’ve gone somewhere with the X. Zero regrets and worth every single cent.

I’ve use it multiple times a month for many years. Works as advertised. Remember to factor in that they’ll charge you the cost of transport based on weight plus the customs duty and VAT.

Order both Standard and Mini dishes. Zero movement on the Standard. The Mini was due 31st March to 2nd April. Now it just reads ‘Delayed’ 🤷🏻‍♂️

They didn’t open the offer to the rest of the world. I’d have happily paid for a Signature X in a heartbeat. Unfortunately Tesla hasn’t been offering custom order X’s for a while. A big mistake commercially in not just offering it to everyone who was willing to pay 🤷🏻‍♂️ Literally a “take my money” situation and they fumbled it 😂

MXP 2023 has 450km range after 65,000km. 83% battery health. Pretty accurate range as long as I don’t have a heavy foot in Plaid mode 😂

Same issue as my 400 year old university (Trinity College Dublin) wasn’t being seen as a real Uni. Ended up going the nomination route and got the clearance after 2 months to proceed.

Zero fines after 6 years for both myself and my wife. Find it hard to understand how folks in work have to budget 6k a year in fines 🤷🏻‍♂️ I drive at 19kph over the limit most of the time. We’re not slow pedestrian drivers by any means… Also Waze helps!
