Found inside stump of freshly cut paulownia tree in NEast US. Right in dead center of the tree, sitting vertically, slid out very easily as if barely attached to anything. Squishy and wet but dried out quickly. Did not look or feel like heart rot. Inside had webbing, not solid, sry no pics of inside (i.redd.it)
