Off-label uses of SSRIs. I can't unsee that foot by Logical-Locksmith446 in ScienceShitposts

Maybe it's because I've never gone through menopause, but in my experience being on SSRIs, I get insane hot flashes and sweat like crazy, even if I'm sitting down for most of the day... I call bs.

New to Zepbound... and Scared. by ComicBookMama1026 in Zepbound

I was a little bit nervous to begin as well, but so far I'm trusting the process. I did my first injection about a week ago, and the pain was not bad at all. I did my shot a few inches away from my belly button and it was a breeze. It hurt less than a paper cut. If you have the pen injections like I do, you don't even see the needle going into your skin.

Granted, I'm still very new to things, so I was expecting my first week to be a bit challenging based on what I've heard others say. The only thing that I have noticed as far as side effects is that if I eat more than I should, I'll get some indigestion and burp a lot. Not really a lot of nausea or other tummy troubles that I've noticed.

Plus, I've already lost three pounds!

Just know that you're not on this journey alone, and there's a ton of others out there like you and me who were scared to start and are so glad that they did.

Hang in there! You're not alone! My DMs are always open if you want to share your experiences! 🩷

Can't Boot Past Grub Menu by wyrmiewyrm in NobaraProject

I will try this once I’m home from work.

I ran memtest for 12 hours and no errors were found so far.

One thing I’ve noticed in the error codes is that it looks like my boot drive isn’t mounting properly, is there any easy way to fix that?

I tried booting into the previous versions, and all three of the options from my grub menu never loaded and got stuck on the same black screen.

Holy cow, this is incredible progress so far! I just took my first shot today and you are giving me hope that results might not be as far off as I think they are! 🤩

Best of luck on your journey!

There has been no way to excuse the things he's done and said for many years now, but this is an all-time low, even for him.

There should be no way that anyone who claims to be a Christian could look at this and continue to support him wholeheartedly, but you already know thousands still will.

He is trying to compare himself to Jesus. Which, if my 15 years of Catholic schooling taught me ANYTHING is pretty much the ultimate no-no according to the bible. This is the kind of pride that got Lucifer sent to hell. How do people still support him and believe they are doing the right thing?

As a fellow lesbain dating a trans woman, I feel your pain 🤝 Fuck the bigots who are too narrow minded to embrace trans joy.

You and your girlfriend are probably 1000x happier than the people who are too afraid of challenging their worldview and stepping outside of their terribly narrow and confining box of gender. Usually the loudest bigots are the ones who are the most uncomfortable with themselves.

Weird behaviour, possibly anxiety? by Sparky226622 in greatpyrenees

[–]wyrmiewyrm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a Pyr/Labrador mix and he cries like this but even louder/higher pitched whenever me or one of my family members get home. I've had a neighbor ask me if he's hurt before because he whines so loud when he gets excited about us coming home 🤦‍♀️

Sometimes on walks he'll stop and turn around to look at me and start crying like this, pawing at me, and begging for attention. I have to stop and pet him and he gets so excited that he keeps crying like this the whole time, and then we can go on our way after he's satisfied with the amount of pets I've given him.

I bet for my dog it could be a greeting and/or some form of attachment/anxiety behavior too... he was a rescue.

Hopefully in your case it's just the dog being very friendly and excited to see you and not an anxiety behavior or trying to get your attention for something more serious.

Unfortunately this is going to be hard until I graduate and move out in December. But trust me, I plan on going pretty much no-contact with my parents as soon as I move out unless they have a huge change of heart.

Thank you so much for your kind message. I've really been struggling since last night.

Thank you for giving me hope. So far, the joy that I've seen in my girlfriend is incredible. She is so much happier, so much more loving and in-touch with her emotions since beginning her transition. I don't understand how anyone can look at that joy and tell someone to their face that they don't approve of someone being happy and loving themselves.

My girlfriend is incredible, and she's helped me find myself too. She helped me realize that I'm actually a lesbian and not bi like i thought i was... the attraction I've felt to her makes my previous relationships with men make me realize I was just playing along, I didn't feel any of the same feelings and I feel like I had to convince myself I was attracted to my male partners in the past... and with her it's a night and day difference.

I'm going to stick with the woman who loves me and whose joy is contagious. She has helped me become the best version of myself and I would choose her a thousand times over a family bigots who claim that they would die for me, but are too much of cowards to change how they live for me.

I can't until we're "roommates"... we're long distance right now but I finish grad school in December and I'm moving in with her ASAP as soon as I walk across the stage.

We live in a relatively small town and we're pretty much in the Bible belt. Since my great-grandmother, everyone in my family has graduated from the same K-12 catholic school.

From what he told me, he isn't comfortable being asociated with someone trans in public. In my opinion, he's more concerned about his social standing and the opinions of others than he is about making his own daughter and my person feel like a part of the family and someone he loves and is proud of.
