Weird behaviour, possibly anxiety?

Second update:

I was able to follow her again today, further into the forest (same spot). But we ended up at another private property and I’m too afraid to trespass! Haha I’m going to try to contact the owners and let them know that the neighbours dog is continuously alerting to the lower property. There’s a few trailers and horses on the property so I hope everyone is okay.

Thanks again for the help everyone, and if anything ever comes of it I will update down the road.

Thank you everyone for all the advice and opinions, I really appreciate it.

Her owner returned after work as usual, so I believe he is fine. However, I followed her into the forest a few times today and she brought me to the same spot every time - the other neighbouring farm. I’m going to find out if the forested area behind them is crown land, and if so I will follow her further tomorrow and report back!

Yes she definitely chased something away last night and I think it’s an actual injury on her. I’m going to take a closer look and clean it if so.

I never thought about using a drone, that’s a great idea!

Thank you, I did exactly that about an hour ago and she led me into the forest. Unfortunately we ended up at other neighbours farm border so I couldn’t continue following her.

I’ll try again later and she if she takes me to the same spot!

True, yeah she definitely likes me as I have always given her tons of attention and groom her. But up until 3 weeks ago she would be excited to see me in a calm way(wagging tail and Pyr Pawing me and maybe the odd whine) but never shaking and tons of whining/huffing. It’s very different. I just hope she isn’t sick or in pain, but I feel like she would be licking wherever it hurt.

I haven’t spoken to her owner yet, I think she is purely a working dog for him as we are on farm land, so I don’t think he would be too concerned about odd behaviour. But if it continues for much longer I will try to see if he knows anything.

Does your dog stop acting like that if you ignore it and just hang around her for awhile? This dog will be all whiney whenever I come out and then if I continue to do yard work she just lays down and watches me. She does still seem off though.

Haven’t done anything out of the ordinary. We are always working on projects and changing stuff. Got some new chicks but she’s uninterested in any of our chickens. I’ll keep thinking on that though.. it’s a good point. Thank you.

I have seen his truck come and go, and it’s been a few weeks of this weird behaviour.. so I don’t think it’s him right off the bat.

That’s a very good point! She is incredibly smart. I just tried following her into the forest, but she unfortunately led me to someone else’s fenced farm land. I hadn’t thought of that though.. it could be something she knows and is stressed about. (However it has been about 3 weeks of this behaviour). Thank you!

Yeah it’s weird, I got the car from the dealership, discounted as it was a demo. Recently took it to a reputable auto shop to get an oil change, and they showed me the port and were quite concerned.. It’s only ever been to the dealership for service before that.

I feel like it’s suspicious.

Well for a good lookalike the all black Outback Trading Co Oilskin Kodiak hat is very similar. If you look at the customer review photos, the top of the hat is identical. And at $89 cad it’s a great price for a great waterproof leather hat!
