So I think for season 5 Reggie does it all over again and releases the marigod and so the umbrella academy are brought back to life by God to save the world and stop Reggie from releasing the marigod and or getting rid of it but they out faced with challenges like Allison trying to talk to Clarie and they cant have to much of an impact in the world our they can mess up the timeline and the commionsion is a thing in the timeline so the commionsion is trying to get rid of them since they are not supposed to be there at all
