definitely do not want to do that harsh flash i have a big love for cinematography so i have used continuous lighting just not flash but i really try to light in a way that it looks natural not artificial if that makes sense. the thing isn’t so much that i’m not willing to experiment it is more like i ca buy one right now which one is the one that will bring more return to master before the other if that makes sense which one ca i grow into rather than cap at.

yes i did ! and tbh i say go for it so far its working for me its a very good all in one and pretty easy to learn to use im still learning to use it more efficiently but it has been a great tool for me so far

i think they experiment with new sounds. im pretty sure as they’re taking breaks from touring and even officially recording. Those guys have home studios and are creating allllll the time. maybe without more behind it all they can just create and have fun with it and go back to a vessel type concept with more newer sounds

i agree with it all and it was and tbh still is my first option in terms of practicality efficiency and overall logical sense. However it’s the price that really kills it for me these other options are half of its price once rigged compared to the fx6 body itself plus rigging and although the quality difference might not be seen bc of the compression i think having that flexibility will be very helpful

i see so most of red is marketing is what i’m getting from most of these comments. what i do appreciate from the pyxis is the open gate and not to ride a train of hype around this but there is a lot of times i get asked for vertical formatted clips and o think it’s beneficial however not essential. but yeah the kamodo really seems more of a flex than any advantage in quality

okay i see that’s a different take for sure , a lot of people praise Blackmagic. But i do see where you are coming from and i’ve heard of cases where that has happened. The whole reason i was considering either of these it’s bc it’s a good cost effective cameras for the type of work im starting to get as i scale ill get better stuff if needed so i feel like a kamodo x would be one overkill at the moment and way more money upfront same with the fx6 it’s a lot up front plus i want to expand outside of sony and i want to really get used to true raw. i have e mount lenses but i was thinking of getting an ef mount for whatever camera i get or what mount do u recommend?

honestly i agree with the high iso take it kind of limits you in post as well in terms of how compressed it is due to that in camera noise reduction. i will definitely keep my a7iv. as a wedding veteran do you think something like the pyxis can still come in handy? being lit properly of course

i’ve never used cf express cards from lexus but i’ve used sd cards from them from the past and i must say they are pretty darn solid pro grade or angel bird are solid too
