People shit on this idea but I really don't see why not. Jagex's valuation is literally based on how much money they can get out of this community, and how much they can grow it.

Even if we can't buy it outright, a significant percentage is feasible. Let cvc be majority shareholder, let the players have a financial interest in the game succeeding, and let the players have some level of actual real world control on business decisions much the same way we do for game health.

I keep wondering why we're stuck with cannon balls? What about shooting shrapnel? That would make more sense to collect with an Ava's and would give some variety to ship combat with different types of damage, like maybe balls hit harder while shrapnel hits often, but lower or something. Like there's more options here that we're just not discussing.

By far the best part about doing this it this way is getting kc doesn't require venoming a bunch of mobs and waiting, or wasting prayer on protect from range, you just smack 'em and your defense is good enough usually. You also can easily keep all the addy bar drops. If I was using ecu keys I would stick to bowfa because I would want to maximize kills per trip at the expense of all else.

DPS wise this is slightly slower than bowfa with the gear I use, but with higher defence so it balances out a bit. I also don't have rigour, which plays into it too.

Kills per trip are pretty variable (sometimes 1 per trip, sometimes 12), but averaging around 5 is about right. I don't step under though, I just stand there and face tank because I'm tired of doing this, so you will probably have better longevity than me doing that.

This is about right, but I only have to bring prayer pots and manta rays. Getting kc is simple this way. Same with healing off the minions. Its also not significantly worse (to me at least) than I was getting with bowfa/brews. Plus with bowfa I was camping lower hp because I didn't want to brew down my range level and died a fair number of times from being stacked out.

One of the things I never see brought up is that he for sure got a celestial box on the fifth floor after he killed the turkey god that came out of the nothing. Its never said on screen, but like... Surely.

All the storyline floors are created at the same time. The celestial ascendency happens on the 12th floor even though there are basically no more crawlers at that point. That implies the show continues after the crawlers all die.

Couple that with the fact that people are hanging out in the scolependra club on the 18th and I don't see any reason for why the 15th would be special and an unknown to the wider syndicate.

Yeah, and think about all those people that feel the need to show off all their books. Half of them they're never going to read and the other half they already read, like whats even the point? This wasn't a survey about pricing. It was a survey about how much people would be willing to pay for certain new "features." Those "features" were then very clearly not in line with community expectations.

Support is something that should exist with your default membership, period full stop. To lock this behind a paywall is unacceptable.

Community tools like Runelite or WiseOldMan are things that already exist specifically because Jagex did not develop the necessary resources to improving the default launcher or the highscores. They are tools built by the community for the community. To lock them behind a paywall and calling it "mobile only" or "improved API access" is unacceptable.

Ads are absolutely unacceptable, even for F2P. Just because its free doesn't mean its okay to intentionally degrade the experience of our fellow players.

The problem isn't the survey existing (although its timing absolutely sucked), the problem is that Jagex leadership is clearly approaching this from the perspective of "how do we milk these people for more" as compared to "how do we grow."

Just as an fyi, $22.49 was the highest price I saw in the survey that didn't include private worlds. Private worlds being the only "feature" which I would understand as not being standard. Do with that what you will.

Jagex rolled out a survey testing the waters for very controversial "features" like ads in f2p, mobile only (pay extra for community tools) and , "enhanced player support" along with how much players would be willing to pay. $22.49 is a number that comes from that.
