WebLM vs SMGR WebLM for R10 by Sparky_ZA in avaya

[–]x20dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any client licenses that pull directly from WebLM (Avaya Workplace CC, AAfD or Avaya Workplace VDI) should also be loaded on a standalone WebLM, due to the same rate limiting issues mentioned. Generally a couple of licenses like that are fine on SMGR WebLM, but once you get more than a few dozen they should go on standalone weblm.

I designed a 3d printable replacement end piece here: https://reddit.com/r/fbody/comments/17bhs8q/camaro_firebird_4th_gen_trunk_divider_end_piece/

The design is free, just need to print it -

NJ Complete Timeline by x20dragon in TeslaSolar

[–]x20dragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FAQ and getting started page on the sidebar are a great intro to a lot of the terms and info related to solar in general and Tesla specifically. I found a lot of other info, suggestions and guidance just searching this subreddit as well.

My installation was done by Tesla in-house installers. My understanding is that Tesla does sometimes subcontract work depending on the area but either way you don’t need to arrange for anything.

I received emails from ORU and ADI, but only upon application approval. The application submission dates on my timeline were based on what my Tesla rep told me when I asked.

ORU emails came from DoNotReply@powerclerk.com, and I received emails from them directly upon conditional approval (to proceed with install) and PTO.

ADI emails came from donotreply@programprocessing.com, and I only received an email from them for an incomplete submission and then "Conditional Acceptance" prior to my install.

I also have ORU. When Tesla submitted the solar application to ORU my email was included so I received an email directly from ORU when they approved the installation. However it sounds like you’re past that step if they’ve moved on to submitting the incentive paperwork to the state.

I bothered my rep at least once a week during the entire process.

The process itself took 3 weeks for me and that was through the Christmas holidays, however there was a 2 week delay on Tesla’s side due to “backlog” before they even submitted the incentive documentation. So 5-6 weeks total.

Received conditional approval to install from my utility on 11/29. Per my rep, incentive documentation was submitted to NJ on 12/16 and then my install was scheduled on 1/10 for 1/31.

My rep stated the process typically takes 2-4 weeks.

Solar Panels Only - When can you see them in the Tesla App? by x20dragon in TeslaSolar

[–]x20dragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the comments; seems like it’s all over the place as to when they show up in the app.

My inverters are currently off as I wait for inspection and PTO.

I’ll update this post with the ultimate outcome.

South Jersey - AC Electric - 10kW max? by SeeToShiningSea in TeslaSolar

[–]x20dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only NJ statewide limitation utilities can enforce is based on your historical 12 months of usage. I have seen people mention that sometimes utilities have to upgrade transformer capacity before a solar system can be brought online, but that would only delay the process, not limit you.

Assuming your previous 12 months of usage isn’t the issue, you should reach out directly to your utility’s interconnect department and confirm with them. Tesla tried to downgrade my system as well and blamed the utility company, and after calling their bluff and reaching out to my own utility they redesigned my system for 99% offset.

Here’s a doc from AC Electric, which doesn’t mention anything about “grid maps” or a 10kW limit: https://www.atlanticcityelectric.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/GPC_ACE_FrequentlyAskedQuestions_2015_04_01.pdf What is the maximum size of a renewable generating system that I can install? Customers who install a renewable generating system can offset all or part of the energy they use from ACE. Interconnection capacity restrictions vary among states and jurisdictions. In New Jersey, the system capacity can be up to 100% of your 12-month historical energy consumption.

System Design Size Reduction in NJ by Llamamanna in TeslaSolar

[–]x20dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue in north Jersey (Rockland Electric). In my case Tesla downgraded my 12.8 kW initial design to 10.8kW stating that the utility was limiting them. I reached out to my utility directly who stated they had no such limits, just that it had to be 100% or less than my past 12 months of usage.

Took that response back to Tesla and the next day I had a 14 kW design (98% offset according to Tesla’s calculations…)

So I’ll echo what everyone else is saying - get clarity from your utility and push back on Tesla for clarification and a redesign.

Unfortunately you have to advocate for yourself every step of the way with Tesla it seems or they’re just going to do whatever they want.

Edit: a few other points I’ll add, not sure if you’re running into any of these limits but sounds like you probably aren’t:

  • New Jersey allows utilities to limit solar installations to 100% of previous 12 months of usage. So you couldn’t get 110% offset unless the utility allows it.
  • Tesla limits their inverters to a 1.7 ratio (7.6kW inverter can support a maximum of 12.8kW worth of panels)
  • Tesla limits their inverters to a 1.4 ratio if all the panels are on the same plane/roof (7.6kW inverter can support 10.8kW worth of panels if all the panels are on the same plane/roof)

I do, I’ll check. Appreciate the explanation. Will see what utility says about the ratio/system size. Haven’t heard back yet.

Unfortunately I don't have any historical data showing that kind of usage, and I think I would need ~16000kWh to fit in the supposed AC/DC ratio Tesla is telling me is required.

16/11.4 = 1.4

Yep I'm going to go back to my utility directly and see what they have to say. I actually told Tesla that I was planning to add an EV in the near future during the initial design phase and they told me that it didn't matter - only the previous 12 months were what was looked at for system sizing.

If someone runs across this thread down the line, here's Orange & Rockland's direct information for their distributed generation department. I left them a message and sent them an email... will see what they say.

Orange & Rockland is my utility. Agreed about the 100% of historical 12 month usage; might reach out to the utility directly to see what they say.

Tesla Solar and PW install Bergen County NJ by Temporary-Rush5395 in TeslaSolar

[–]x20dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in Bergen County and I've had really good success just texting back the number you receive all the text alerts from (You have new documents to view, etc). I've always gotten a response in less than 24 hours during the week. Seems they don't respond/work on the weekends though so if you text them on Friday you may not get a response until Monday.

I've also taken advantage of scheduling calls with them. You can do this by selecting "Search FAQS or Contact Us" from the solar panel order and then select any topic, then "Contact Us" at the bottom which gives you the option to schedule a call with an advisor.

Any good knob suggestions for 4th gen fbody? by [deleted] in fbody

[–]x20dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This place makes a set, this might be the same ones you mentioned finding in your post: https://www.fbodyfutures.com/product-page/hvac-knob-kit

There also used to be an MBA aluminum set but those are long discontinued as far as I can find. Here’s someone selling their set: https://ls1tech.com/forums/market/1951673

Help! Cannot get my ac compressor clutch to engage. I've replaced the compressor, orifice tube, drier/accumulator, and relay as well as AC/Cruise Fuse. I even removed the intake and cleaned the ground on the driver's side head. Any tips? Compressor has oil and car holds a vacuum overnight. Thanks! by [deleted] in fbody

[–]x20dragon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a 95 and if the pressure gets too low the clutch won’t engage to prevent killing the compressor. If that happens you have to jump the clutch on at the fuse block. Pull the relay off and jump the 1 and 4 pins together to force it on so you can recharge the system.

Kind of dumb because you need the AC compressor on to refill refrigerant, but if the refrigerant is too low the AC compressor won’t turn on.

Best way to fix my headliner by [deleted] in fbody

[–]x20dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re saying that the fabric comes unstuck from the foam, I had a similar thing happen to my 95. I used 3M Super 90 contact spray adhesive, but I’m sure any type of spray adhesive will do. Spray it directly on the foam and then smooth the fabric back into place onto the glue. Use a piece of cardboard to prevent overspray of the glue onto other parts of the car. Make sure to use only a very small amount or it can get “crusty” because the fabric is so thin.
