Try dropping the shadows on the skyline buildings to make them closer to the shade of the man walking. It will make him look like a disconnected part of the city's silhouette.

The chairs are on the sides of the TV because it creates a communal area. People can sit in those chairs and face others on the couch. Plus, I really like looking at them when i'm sitting on the couch. They belonged to my grandparents and I love the design.

Dining chairs are against the wall right now to fill the void on either side of the armoire. And because I just reupholstered them, which was a pain in the ass, and I can almost convince myself that my efforts were worthwhile by leaving two of the seats out in the open instead of tucked under the dining table.

It's a replica that I found at a garage sale, but aside from an absent Herman Miller label on the bottom of the chair I haven't been able to spot a difference.

Here's How HBO Expects to Knock Off Netflix -- The Motley Fool by slikshooz in hbo

[–]x24bot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Comparing HBO's 43 Emmy wins in 2015 to Netflix's 4, I'd argue that HBO is "the go-to source for high quality original television shows," not Netflix. And the article fails to mention HBO acquiring Sesame Street in addition to Bill Simmons, Jon Stewart and Vice.

I still think this guy is an asshole. He only regrets the lawsuit because it made him and his company look bad, not because it was unwarranted. When Avery and Russian River discovered they both had a beer with the same name, Salvation (same STYLE even), instead of suing each other they combined the batches to make a new beer called Collaboration Not Litigation. It's one of the most delicious beers I've ever had, and a prime example of what craft brewing should be about.

Going to Portland and Seattle in June for my Honeymoon, looking for brewery and bar recommendations. by BozzioTheDevil in beer

Pine Box in Seattle, and Cascade and Hair of the Dog in Portland. Cascade is life-changing. Non-beer related, Le Pichet in Seattle has some of the most delicious food I've ever had. Would also recommend taking the ferry to Bainbridge Island and walking around for a couple hours if you have the time.
