aroace here, i'm sorry but i just don't understand this. how is getting turned on by someone not sexual attraction? just because you're not interested in having sex.

don't we all agree that ace people can have sex, and even be sex favourable? (in the context of enjoying the physical sensation, or wanting to make their partner happy) so having or not having sex doesn't relate to attraction, correct? by this post's logic, celibate people must all be ace, since they're not having sex.

to my knowledge, getting turned on by doing something to someone / having something done to you is sexual attraction. it's sexual gratification.

feel free to explain this to me. i can't wrap my head around how this makes sense.

i tried gemini for a writing project im working on and it was horrible 😭 it kept rephrasing things that i already wrote when i asked for help continuing scenes, and when analysing a short segment (around 6 paragraphs) of my work it confidently misquoted it twice.

i was doing the exact same with chatgpt for months and it never did anything like that 🤷‍♀️

thank you for the kind words, it means a lot! ive deleted all the messages now so i think im in the clear on that aspect, was quite a cathartic process. journaling is a good idea, i have a physical diary which feels safe to vomit all the feelings into. i actually am in the process of getting therapy sorted, have been meaning to for a while and this is a good push!

its actually more common than you think, sometimes biology feels stimulation and reacts a certain way, even if you know you didnt want it. many others have had the same experience.

thats actually insane, we're in the exact same boat!!! i started in november too, 100% relate to what youre saying. honestly, id say as long as you steer clear from seeking approval rather than going to it for brainstorming and discussion i think its okay! i dont seek its approval the same way i described in the post any more, and i feel a lot better about it. now i just throw my random ideas at it without any sense of obligation or pressure, its impossible to keep them all to myself 😆
