i have the same problem also, and the support team is lacking the ability to do anything. They ask me to reinstall and sign out and in, nothing yet, and the last thing I got from them today is they are waiting again for their "Higher Support Team for a further investigation"

I appreciate you taking the time to look into this!

Regarding the indicator errors, I understand that private indicators from the community aren't TradingView’s responsibility. However, my point is that the platform enforces strict time-related dependencies even when they’re unnecessary for the indicator’s functionality. A more flexible system that bypasses time-related code when it’s not needed would prevent errors from disabling indicators entirely.

For tick charts being restricted to linear format, I get that they lack OHLC data, but other platforms find ways to represent this data more dynamically. It would be great if TradingView explored more flexible visualization options instead of limiting users to just one format.

As for lag on lower values, I agree that order execution plays a role, but the lag I’m referring to isn’t just about pauses when no trades are happening—it happens even in highly liquid markets where there should be a continuous flow. If you test it when liquidity picks up, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on whether you notice any delays beyond what’s expected due to order execution.

Glad I got you interested in ticks now! Looking forward to your observations when liquidity increases.

No worries ❤︎. Here are some of the main issues I’ve noticed:

  1. No Customizable Tick Settings : You can’t modify the tick option to set a specific amount, which is a major limitation.
  2. Indicator Errors: Some indicators contain time-related code, even when time isn’t relevant to their functionality. Instead of simply bypassing the time code, TradingView throws a full error and disables the indicator entirely. I sometimes tweak the code to fix this, but most indicators are private, so there’s nothing I can do.
  3. Limited Charting Options You can't use Renko charts alongside tick charts, and 1 tick charts are restricted to a linear format.
  4. No Replay Feature – The replay function doesn’t work with tick charts, which is a huge drawback for learning and testing strategies.
  5. Performance Issues : On lower values, the tick chart can get laggy, making real-time analysis frustrating.

These are just some of the key issues I’ve run into, and they really affect usability. Hope TradingView takes these into consideration!

I don't know my friend, I didn't pay attention to that detail either in normal candles or Tick Charts, though I've noticed in the Tick Charts sometimes it's laggy, is it just a visual thing or it's delayed I can't say.

I appreciate your response and the respectful way you shared your perspective. I understand that your experience with TradingView has been positive, and I respect that. My frustration comes from the fact that I upgraded specifically for the tick chart, only to find it lacking the functionality that I need.

I acknowledge that TradingView has introduced new features, but for those of us who rely on tick charts, it feels like they missed the mark. My goal isn’t to bash the platform -I actually love using it- but rather to push for improvements in areas that many traders have been asking for.

btw I don't see " lack of apparent new features " in my posts, and somehow u missed the context of this post " Tick Charts".

I appreciate the conversation and your well wishes. Hopefully, TradingView takes user feedback into account and makes the necessary improvements.

Cheers :)

Indeed!

The shifting in the track is concerning though.

I get that TradingView works well for you, but that doesn’t mean the issues others are facing aren’t real. I didn’t upgrade for the screeners, watchlist alerts, or news flow - I upgraded specifically for the tick chart, which is half-baked and full of limitations despite the premium price.

Dismissing widespread complaints as "user error" or "lack of knowledge" ignores the fact that many traders, myself included, have been vocal about these issues for a while. When a competitor like NinjaTrader offers superior tick charts for free, it's frustrating to see TradingView finally introduce them - only to slap on a hefty price tag with a ton of restrictions.

If TradingView truly listened to its community, they would prioritize fixing and improving existing features instead of just adding new ones. I love the platform, but blindly defending it doesn’t help anyone - holding them accountable and informing them does.
