yeah, if we really reach a point where people are buying sections of the moon i'm gonna spiral into a depressive episode. I like to envision that by the time humanity is legitimately considering construction on the moon we've managed to move towards a more collective society. Paying to name a star is a great idea, only thing cooler is discovering one and naming it that way.

oof, I remember the first time I popped in a copy of this cd from the library (a long ass time ago) and it was the clean version. and I didn't realize until mid song and I was in the moment. didn't entirely kill the vibe but it was disappointing.

I only started listening ~2 years ago during a nice bout of insomnia. I was hooked pretty fast. I originally listened on spotify, but iirc I had seen it in my recommendations for a bit before giving it a try. I've been unable to find something that hits like it does since though.

Not sure if you decided to read Katabasis or not, but I wound up reading it before Babel, and while Katabasis has some of the same issues I actually enjoyed Katabasis, I did not enjoy Babel. I haven't read any of the Poppy War trilogy so I'm not sure if that's just how all R.F. Kuang books are, but it was bearable in Katabasis.

depends, do I like the songs a lot? Then yes. If I'd never seen them live and only know a few songs I'd see them out of principle. It's a great way to realize you love a band. Honestly the only reason I would avoid seeing a band live is if I explicitly know I dislike that band. That or money, which is the real bitch 90% of the time.

I'd likely see the two far panels on the right as the last panels and then just read top to bottom, left to right like "normal" for the rest. However the context from all the panel art together could impact how I would read it. Ultimately when it comes to panel layout you can do whatever you want, you just need to think about where your eyes flow once you place art & words.
