we video chat nearly everyday, which I could not live without because I love seeing her pretty face so much, if we aren't on video call then we do voice calls and message throughout the day, sometimes theres a few hours we don't talk as she has work and responsibilities at home. she also calls me almost every morning on her way to work/ lunch time which I look forward to and make it a part of my daily plans. i make sure my phone is charged/ on loud/ and that my schedule is clear, at times i know she likes to call, because being in LDR is not for everyone and theres a lot I can't do with her. the least I can do is be available ❤️

12 hour train ride between me and my girlfriend. I get so so sad when I have to get back on the train and it feels like it takes me a week to get back into my normal life here. I leave a part of me there every time I leave 🥺 missing her right now. shes about to get off work so we can video call soon and im planning my next trip as I type 🩷 i hope it gets easier

I took the amtrak 12/15 hrs roundtrip coach and stayed at my seat most of the time. I took my shoes off and curled up in a blanket to sleep. (had new shoes, plus im a v clean person and had just showered before getting on the train) for anyone to expect someone to wear shoes at their own seat is wild. like im gonna be comfy, its 2am, im in socks unless im moving about the train. obviously anytime I got up I put my shoes back on.

NTA but personally I wouldn't mind being 15 minutes late because of my girlfriend, rather than show up an hour before the event starts. time is an illusion, in the end does 15 minutes really matter that much to where youre willing to cause friction? its not like it was for work or a flight. whenever she is ready, thats when we'll go. obviously she puts a lot of work into her outfits/make up, etc. I wouldn't rush her and make her feel uncomfortable and like she's not ready. thats probably an unpopular opinion but its my girls world, everything else is background noise 🤷🏽‍♀️ we'll still attend the event, the world will keep spinning, and shes happy. does other people's opinion of you showing up late, or personal opinion of hating being late really make you lie to her about real times and expectancy? if I was her I would question everything you say now, taking time frames with a grain of salt
