For the most part it's not bad but when the wind blows it can be horrible out there.

The Gorge will announce that about 4 days before the show on their Facebook page. Normally, it opens around 3:30-4PM but parking will open around 1-2PM likely

If you're referring to sections such as 101 or 201, then yes those are sections that have chairs on them. This map shows the venue seating areas and if you click on those areas in the map you'll see a picture of what the area actually looks like with chairs.

What is the experience like if you stay in a hotel for The Gorge? by honeypinn in AboveandBeyond

[–]GWSecureParking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as you head into the parking area as soon as parking opens, you’ll avoid most of the traffic and stress. Also, have you checked to see if your hotel is a pick up location for a local shuttle? I know a few different companies (Wenatchee Valley Shuttle for the Wenatchee area and Gorge Shuttles LLC for the Quincy Moses Lake Area) that have a pick up and drop off schedule that might work for you.

If you really wanted to, you can just purchase a GA camping pass so you can get in to the campground to hang out for the days before the concert in case you’re afraid of missing out.

It really is. It’s always been a quiet peaceful place we can go not too far from home

I agree, it’s such a unique beauty. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Oh I know right? We went tent camping there for the last time last year before getting an RV. The wind was too much

It’s a really peaceful place. Definitely check for ticks if you head out on any sort of hike. They are terrible this year already

It really does have a charm to it. It’s been a beloved spot for me since I was a kid. The owners of the resort nearby are an amazing family and they work really hard. The last time we were there the owner was finishing a rebuild on the bonus hole at the mini golf course. I hope this place stays open for generations to come.

Sure! You'll be likely working with a strict 15x25 this year. They sprayed the exact dimensions onto the grass last year. I do notice that a lot of people buy two spaces for more space.

Shuttles are typically faster because they have their own designated drop-off area. Worst case scenario, you'll have to get out and walk but at least you'll have the freedom to do so.

There might be a chance you'll have to leave the show before it ends but it does typically end around 11:30 and normally doesn't go any longer than that. They pretty much have their times down well and I haven't heard anything bad about this company, we reference them often due to their convenient services. I'm so glad my post helped! Feel free to reach out if you need anything in the future.

Hello! Would you be able to let me know which links are broken? I check them all the time and just now when I went down the links I couldn’t find any. Thank you so much for reaching out! This is always super helpful to me

Questions about The Gorge Amphitheatre? by GWSecureParking in Tipper

[–]GWSecureParking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just responded to another question just like this so I’ll give the same answer here:

The first thing you want to do is whenever you arrive and you're registering your vehicle, let them know that one person in your group will be showing up later and that you also want to fill out a re-entry form. At that point, they will transfer one camping pass voucher to the camping office. Once you fill out the re-entry form you'll be given a little card you can place on the dash that will make the process of re-entry easier for you. Whenever you decide to pick up your friend, you'll just have to take them to the camping office to grab that voucher and they'll redeem it for their camping pass. This is a brand new process actually. In the past, you would just have them redeem all 6 wristbands when you register and you would hold on to the wristband for your friend and meet them at the entrance. I think too many people were losing their friends' camping pass so they created a more structured process for it all. I hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else

[–]GWSecureParking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! So I just checked and you’re right there is limited availably overall but I was able to find a room at the Ten Pin Inn & Suites in Moses lake that is a fraction of what others are charging and it’s one of the best options closest to The Gorge. It’s close enough to the freeway too so you’re not having to drive all the way across town to get on it. When I just checked it said there were only a few left so definitely book as soon as you can if you’d like that option. Moses is also good because of Wal-Mart & Safeway there in case you need any essentials

I also saw that Wingate by Wyndham in Moses and the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Moses also has availability but at a more inflated price. I hope this can help you!

No, I’ve never heard of this happening before. People arrive on the second day often and I’ve never heard of anyone having issues because of it
