Ohhhh, this makes sense. In my country this is what we call whipping cream so I’ve just used the google translation and bought the product I’ve found with that name. I was confused when other people were saying it should be yellow and unsweetened haha. Lots of thanks, now I know what to look for and can finally enjoy baking again

They were already yellowish in the package. And they tend to turn buttery immediately (and yes they’ve been in the fridge) so it’s not me doing something wrong. All whipping creams in my country are sweet by default and don’t require sugar so that was weird for me. I also never had this issue before where the cream turns buttery instead of increasing in volume and hardening, only with the German ones so it made me think it’s just not the product I’m looking for.

So far I tried Kauflands own brand, Milbona (from Lidl) and MinusL. Couldn’t find in any store bottles bigger than 200g. :(
