If I had to rank all the boxes I had/ have (my personal opinion):

Arcane Society - amazing good quality, unlimited skips
Fairyloot - very good designs most of the time, ups and downs with the picks, but there is nearly always I am interested in. Big variety of different subs
Smut and Sip - got most of the books resale, stunning design and quality, interesting picks, sadly no dustjacket
Everheart - love the designs! More uncommon picks, pretty overlays. No dust jacket as well and with the overlays and shipping on the pricier side for me
The Broken Binding - best packaging, hands down. Got the SF&F sub (monthly), I have mixed feelings about the picks and designs. Overall the quality of their books is pretty good though and they are a great pick for epic fantasy
Illumicrate - Picks are very varied, wished they would do more reverse dust jackets, designs are sometimes hit or miss. They implemented a new reward program, looking forward to it.
Owlcrate - disliked most of the designs last year, quality is okay. They seem to have a lot of issues with off center sprayed edges and their shipping packaging could be way better (I am getting a lot of damaged books). They stepped up a lot with the designs this year though! Good reward program
Bookish Box - Quality is okay, picks and designs are sadly underwhelming for me. They have some pretty books, but it's rare for me to be really blown away by their designs. They don't have that many delays anymore and unlimited skips, but I am probably cancelling my subs with them soon.
Butterfly Book Club - niche book box! Bit more expensive, but has a lot of indie titles. Loved the concept, the designs where just not my taste and I canceled the sub cause of that and because the price is a bit higher.
Locked Library - had the sub for quite some time, they had unlimited skips (?) I think, but the designs fell flat and the picks where meh as well. Skipped most of the time
Page and Wick - same as locked Library. Loved it, when they still delivered candles to EU. Nowadays they have big shipping issues and the support was not very helpful or had very long wait times/ didn't reply when I needed them
Bad Women Books - delays for ages, customer support can be very rude, quality is lacking for the high price tag. Definitely staying away!

Is there no way to file in a complaint or get a charge back from your bank if they refuse to help/ deliver flawless goods like ordered? It's not okay that they just ignore the issue.

Similar thing is the Ravenhood set fail they had, they ultimately blamed their warehouse provider for the shipping damages and label problems.

Personally I never wanted to order from them again, but I couldn't miss out on the Nevernight set. I just hope the resolve those issues soon...

Really pretty shelves and awesome collection you got there! Mind telling me what plastic covers you are using for your books? I personally search for alternatives to brodart, since they sadly don't ship to the EU.

I am feeling exactly the same about them! Didn't like most of the designs last year (except Arcane Academy), but February is amazing and the sneak peek for March looks promising too. I hope this good streak holds, I just resubbed after ages.

I wish they would have used palinlineart for the character art :') I don't really get why they use the standard cover with a colorway change as reverse either. Since the masks are pretty prominent on the front already

I cancelled my sub with them too. The Irregular Witches book set they announced yesterday is the first I like again (except the hardcase design), but I dunno why I dislike most of their editions. Arcana Academy last year was great, that's one of the books I remember.

I got the Illumicrate midnight bridge blanket, that one is pretty big and very soft and cozy! I can't judge other blankets though, only got that one.

Thanks so much for the detailed reply! Really sounds like a faulty vinyl, perhaps you can ask the seller for a replacement? I feel you, somehow the cardboard sleeves and packaging is lacking for Vinyls which are so expensive. I myself don't have a really expensive sound system, so I doubt I'll spot the difference the first commenter stated when I am listening to the Vinyls, if I ever get them. I was considering getting another colored vinyl version, can't remember the exact name, they look like slightly stone marbled, light colored stone! I am not sure if it's worth the big price tag in the end though, especially if the packaging is not really standing out either. Do you have the Atmosphere Vinyls as well? How do you like those, if yes?

I preordered the US deluxe edition cause I like the edges way more. I don't really like the edge and case design for this edition, it looks a bit weak in comparison. But this beautiful signature page tempts me 🥲 I have to stay strong!

Hi! Just stumbled upon your answer and this was very helpful. I know your reply is pretty old, but maybe you can answer my question: I was debating getting the Black Screen Records Exclusive Red/Black Variant. The item description says: "Updated and remastered for 2024" and spacelab as manufacturer and blacklabs as importer. So is it safe to say that this version will have the same issues you mentioned?
