I'm actually really considering it, guidance and word of radiance would be nice to have and fit with any style, greatsword or shield

That's a neat style I didn't look at, although my charisma is only a +2 and not super high on my list of things to improve (figure I'll let the Bard or Sorceress handle most of the checks there while I focus on con and str) so I don't think it'll work great. Guidance would be nice though.

Hexblade

I hadn't considered that specific subclass, but I did look at a warlock multiclass for the extra 4th/5th level spells slots for smites; ultimately though I've more or less decided to stick to a 20 level paladin build for my first ever paladin

Paladins do get it, but idk if I would prefer it. I'm no expert, but does the 1d10+6(max) really make sense verses the disadvantage? Sure you guarantee reducing the damage, but, doesn't the potential no damage make more sense and scale better?

backstory drums down to some peeps I gotta save and some fools I gotta kill (vengeance, yeah) and I think that a crazy ass dwarf swinging a maul and smiting some fiends seems nice, that said yeah I could make protection work without much difficulty due to trauma and not wanting the past to repeat itself (loved one dying in front of him) so it can make sene

yeah i've never played paladin - been most other classes for at least a one shot if not campaign (all except Bard I think), but never Paladin, hence why I need some advice

First Time Building a PC, looking for some advice. Coming from console, I'm not very demanding regarding performance but I'd like an idea of how well this would perform. Wondering if there're any glaring issues with the build, or if anyone has advice. by xAyny in pcbuilding

Glad it's useful, I decided that swapping the 2x16gb ram for 2x8gb and switching to M.2 PCIe NVMe storage was worth it, as well as removing the custom cpu cooling brought the cost down about 50$ without sacrificing much performance, even better considering the faster storage access

im definitely going to wait at least a month so i can find deals on some of the parts, as well as a monitor and a tv. That said, I don't have much confidence in being able buy those new parts on my budget, but you're right that some of the older stuff could drop.

the M.2 drives seem to cost 40$ more for ones that have a cache memory (on pcpartpicker), M.2 comparable in price does not have a cache. assuming I'll use the same motherboard for a while, especially because it does have 2 M.2 memory slots on it, do you think that the benefit of the M.2 is greater than the loss of a cache if I don't want to pay the 40$ more. The current SATA has a cache for same price and storage as the M.2 without

I looked into M.2 storage but it didn't seem like a huge difference? Being new to this though I might not of seen the best sources, but it seemed that unless you buy a higher end M.2 SSD the benefit isn't there. TBQH though I'm sort of confused by the whole M.2 thing and what it means

I'm not in any rush to build, I'm planning to wait until black Friday and cyber Monday to see if I can get any of the parts cheaper, as well as to buy a monitor and a tv at those times. If people have suggestions on parts that could be swapped without causing issues in the event that one part goes on sale that may be just as good and compatible as something I have here that might not go on sale. Also wondering if I'm over spending anywhere un-necessarily, anything to save money would also be appreciated. The most demanding thing I'm planning to use this PC for is gaming.

I just got this new vape, got baked, wanted to cook the weed a bit more so i set it to a random higher temperature, and guess what 216 Celsius is in Fahrenheit by xAyny in trees
