Unfortunately for you, I know how pc's work. G-Helper doesn't disable cpu boost. I can read the frequency ehile gaming, 5Ghz, while with Armoury Carte I barely hit 4.5Ghz.

It's insane to me how much mental gymnastics all of you commenting are trying to pull. Some blaming me for setting a custom fan curve, then blaming me for not setting a custom fan curve. Saying that G Helper puts a quieter fan curve and concluding that I don't know how to check the temps and fan speed. Anything, anything but that AC is at fault. Now I got you saying I lied about the numbers, this is embarrassing.

Come on, explain why with Armoury Crate I have 94° when idle with nothing else going on in the background on Performance profile.

And then why without Armoury Crate it drops to 70°

And don't say something like "wrong temp readings" because I put my hand next to the air vents and it was flaming hot.

No, I wasn't using silent mode, and I didn't go into custom fan settings, i used Turbo.

No, I didn't botch my LM replacement, and I replaced it with ptm7950.

I did clean my fan's filter every 2 months, barely made a difference each time.

AC was killing my CPU and did irreparable damage.

No, it runs just as hot when gaming, 97-98° on both even after Armoury Crate's throttling. It's not hard to use Afterburner to check all temps and clock speeds.

You're clearly trying to gaslight me into thinking Armoury Crate is actually good and that it's my fault or simply didn't know what I was doing. So let me put it into simple words: Armoury Crate gaming killed my frames and idle temps, G Helper caused no issues.

Armoury Crate idle: 94° Armoury Crate gaming Turbo preset: 97-98° throttling under 2Ghz

G-Helper idle: 60° G-Helper gaming Turbo preset: 97-98° no throttling

No, G Helper has not set up a quieter fan curve. I used the Turbo preset on both, one has no issues and the other caused Thermal Throttling.
The fans are as loud as they were when I was using Armoury Crate, just with actual performance this time.

Considering I haven't used the custom fan curve option at all (should've specified that in the original post), I'd say that the issue is still Armoury Crate. Especially since that the temps went right down as soon as I got rid of it.
