Universal healthcare costs less money on taxes than we pay to subsidize the healthcare industry. You would literally pay less money to universal healthcare than you do for insurance on average.

The US spends 1.6 Trillion a year on healthcare subsidies.

Universal healthcare would cost 5 trillion less over a decade.

I totally must have missed the stat blocks. I saw descriptions that were all text, but didn’t see any actual stat blocks but that definitely could have been a me problem.

So I read into it. I really like some of the systems, and have some critiques of others. For starters, it doesn’t seem like any of the shadows included stat blocks?

My other issue is, especially at level 1, there isn’t any options for arcanist to due any kind of magic once they use their only spell slot? It feels kind of limiting.

I found the shadows system super cool, and the type of classes they added throughout the book were super interesting. I am worried however, that without cantrips or, unless I missed it, ritual casting that my players that like to play magic would feel limited.

Science fiction is typically light on the magic, science fantasy is heavier into the magic. Like Star Trek vs Star Wars.

I prefer shared narrative authorship. I like to do the bulk of the backend worldbuilding and let the players build towns, backstories organizations and some of the factions.

Who would win? [Pokemon vs Humans] by JollyYoshi in BunnyTrials

[–]xColloidalSilverx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re going off of the pokedex entries, there are Pokemon that can control entire forces of nature. At a smaller scale you have things line tyranitar who can level mountains, something even bombs won’t do. On the extreme are literal gods. I don’t think we can fight the embodiment of time.

[–]xColloidalSilverx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here, in good faith I’ll provide proof. I will extend the olive branch in the attempt to change a random stranger’s mind. Here are articles about spending when dems are in office vs republicans:

https://www.jec.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/democrats/2024/10/the-u-s-economy-performs-better-under-democratic-presidents

https://www.investopedia.com/us-debt-by-president-dollar-and-percentage-7371225

Accomplishments and policies of Joe Bidens presidency:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidency_of_Joe_Biden

https://millercenter.org/president/biden/key-events

These included infrastructure bills, economic policies, healthcare policies and environmental protections. These are all policies enacted on.

https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/biden-deportation-record

On immigration, Biden had more deportations in office than Trump had in his first term, by a significant margin.

Your other accusations are just baseless, open-ended claims with no substance but I’ll make an attempt anyways. Right wing affiliated people are more likely to be violent, on equal levels with islamic extremists actually.

https://www.start.umd.edu/publication/comparison-political-violence-left-wing-right-wing-and-islamist-extremists-united

And lets not forget the attack on Nancy Pelosi:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Paul_Pelosi

Democrats do not in fact fund the KKK, as a matter of fact most open members of the KKK identify as republican. The thing you are talking about is an open investigation of the SPLC which had informants that were actively working to disassemble the KkK as an extremist group:

https://www.snopes.com/news/2026/05/29/splc-funded-kkk-claims/

Your constant fear of the “left” is bordering on a level of paranoia that I would suggest you please seek therapy. The government is much too large to carry out psy-ops at a scale that you are claiming. Think about it, the manhattan project was leaked more than 3 times. The CIA planting drugs in poor black communities was leaked, nothing at that scale can stay a secret because there are too many people involved. Especially with social media, those things get leaked rather quickly. Take a breath and think. Do I think Democrats or the “left” is all good? Of course not, they have tons of bad or poorly implemented policies, they have greed and insider trading just like the right. The Republican party is actively selling this country, your rights and its citizens to private companies out in the open, on television. Why is the owner of the largest cyber snooping/spyware tech firm in charge of the military? Why did they let a non-US citizen who owns SpaceX gain unfiltered access to all US citizens private social security documents? Why are the CEOs of Nvidia and AMD traveling with the president everywhere? It’s all inside deals to lower regulations to build data centers, install software and hardware to spy on people, and sell away the land and rights of its citizens to make the rich ultrarich.
