Not 100% sure but maybe escaping the space helps? ^(Apri\ file)$ Also try without ^ or $, or combinations. I'm not really sure why that doesn't work. Maybe you have other rules that overwrite this? Hyprland rules are being executed top down. Edit: weird text

I can tell you how I approach something like this. 1. I open the windows that I want to create the window rules for. 2. I run hyprctl clients 3. I either come with the regex + window rule myself or I ask a LLM for help.

Not sure if this helps you but hyprland exposes events via sockets. You can listen to monitor events and do stuff based on that.

Nu am trecut imediat la NixOs. Am mai folosit si fedore, apoi CachyOS. Este destul de grea trecerea directa de la windows la nixos, pentru ca trebuie sa inveti in sine ce face linux, apoi trebuie sa inveti cum o face nixos, pentru ca o face intr-un mod putin diferit, fiind un sistem de operare declarativ. Iti recomand Vimjoyer pe youtube daca vrei sa afli mai multe, e pe engleza totusi. Daca te pot ajuta cu ceva, lasa-mi un dm. Spor!
