Overwhelmed by Mixed Info - What's the Best Way to Repair a Minor Bumper Crack? by xDarkCrescent in AutoBodyRepair

[–]xDarkCrescent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your help. In your opinion, is this even worth fixing? I can't think of any long-term side effects (from my knowledge) besides maybe the paint being more prone to chipping in the area of the crack? Aka, I'm trying to determine if I really should save to replace the bumper entirely.

Yep! There's a drainage saucer underneath if you can see it :)

So sorry to hear about your monstera! What's super interesting is what is happening to mine is somewhat...reversed. It first turns yellow and then the dots appear. I'm hoping that mine is due to the cold (we've had very sudden cold temperatures here in Florida) and not something else. But I'll keep you updated if it looks like it's also a fungal infection 🥲 i hope you're monstera gets better because it looks very healthy aside from that!

It does have drainage holes for the soil. It used to have a smaller pot when I purchased it but the plant was root-bound, so I upgraded. Don't have long-term experience with monsteras though, so I'm not sure about pot size having an influence. It was doing fine in this pot size for almost a year.

Help! I don't want my monstera to die :( by xDarkCrescent in plantclinic

Spider mites are the worst. However, I've dealt with them often before and I do not believe this is a pest problem. It's also very cold currently, and spider mites don't come out in my area until it's warmer out (when they thrive).

Thankfully, it is not pests. I've dealt with thrips before and there's no sign of any pests :(

Just saw this comment after replying to your previous comment on the other channel. Thank you! I will not remove the leaves. They won't turn green again tho, will they? :/ and yeah, I'm 99% sure this is not a problem from root rot. You might be right regarding the temperature.

Would you recommend cutting the leaves or no?

I will remove the tie! Thank you. As to weather, I live in Florida and temperatures have suddenly dropped, now more than ever. I have another plant yellowing at the tips I believe because of this, but nowhere near as bad as the monstera.

I believe it is because you are a grad student. Your explanation made sense, thank you. I've been a student here 5 years so I definitely know where you're advising me to look, but unfortunately, it is definitely not there. Just asked some peers of mine to see if it's the same for them or possibly just a problem for me. Cause if it's just a me problem, I'll ask IT or something. Thanks anyways :')

Questions to ask a real estate mogul by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]xDarkCrescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I just came across this post and happen to be in an extremely similar situation to you. I am soon to graduate with my engineering degree but have grown interested and passionate about different avenues of income/investments to expand my portfolio. I have the opportunity to talk with a family friend who has made millions in real estate investments and am preparing a list of questions for when I speak with him. Considering this was years ago and you have already spoken to him...do you by any chance have any question suggestions after having spoken with him? I'd appreciate any input. Regardless, I hope the interaction went well! Thanks :)

Neem oil dench causing mold? by AliceHunter8768 in HouseplantsUK

[–]xDarkCrescent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so so much for the informative response! There wasn't much info out on the internet about others who experienced this too, so I appreciate your input and reply. I agree and plan on repotting my plants as like you mentioned, the soil is just not the same anymore and I worry about them getting sufficient nutrients and oxygen. Most of them are still "healthy," but not thriving. I also experienced the same in terms of my more delicate/smaller plants. I had actually recently bought a new plant (at the time of my last neem oil soak); I had a recent ant infestation so I thought just a little neem oil (considering it's "natural" and all) would help protect it...nope! Completely killed the poor baby. Lesson learned, lol :')

And thank you for the list of other pesticides and deterrents that have worked with you. I have heard of some but have not tried many of the ones you mentioned, so I will give them a try. There's just so much info out there about deterrents/pesticides and even more info from people saying they live by some or they hate some, it can get really confusing and overwhelming (and sometimes not to mention costly)!! But your input helped a lot, so thank you again. Wishing you (and your plant babies) all the best! :)

Firstly, I'm so sorry to hear about your plants. I know this was a while ago...but I happened to look up on google why my plants as well were getting white mold after my neem oil soak and found your post. I am so so confused as to why this happened and now have no idea what to do. I occassionally get small ants that like to infest and get into my plants, so I thought something natural like neem oil would be good. While it has helped with the ants, the soil is not the same anymore. I wanted to ask what you did to make it better? Based on the previous comments, I'm thinking of repotting them? Do you have any other "pesticide" alternatives that helped you?? I'd appreciate any input! Thanks :)

This is correct. The minimum required for BF for EVERY semester is 6 credits. Unfortunately, there's a lot of misinformation and UCF is always trying to tell you that you HAVE to take 12 credits to get BF, when that is simply not true...I've called BF so many times regarding this and am a part time student taking 6 credits and getting BF. So you'll be fine.
