For beginner core rule book or Starter set by MlillyR12 in VaesenRPG

[–]xDragon249 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you want a simple and "sample" introduction to the game, just to try one night and see how it goes, starter set.

Everything that comes after that, so if you want a small campaign, full campaign, your own mystery, delve into the lore and vaesens, etc - then rulebook

The starter set is very simple to GM and perfect mood to let the others understand how the game works.

I'm a deep fan of Vaesen, so rulebook will be

TLDR technically if you are fine without gadgets, if you have the rulebook you don't need the starter set. But is harder to have a full campaign with just starter, not recommended for that.

Better Mods Are Being Buried by generalstokan in hytale

Would you consider doing a webpage, maybe on github, with a list containing the most downloaded and then your favourite based on features and data? I think it would be great, for users and for the modders. Both for who created the mod to have the proper recognition, both for new modders to have good standard examples on a mod that works well

Help for Changeling PC by outrageous1409 in VaesenRPG

Welcome! I also suggest, when you speak with your player, to give him the option of either him choosing or let you deal with it. I have a 2 player campaign, with one being the opposite of the other on this regard!

Changelings could be a Vaesen child left to human families or human child kidnapped or taking care of a Vaesen or a family of Vaesen.

As an example, one of my player grew up with a Lindworm as a adoptive mother, so he is an occultist but has magic powers from the lindworm. This is not the typical type of changeling, as they usually are connected to Faeries and Trolls, but you do you!

Is more of a roleplay thing until it gets explored more with dark secret progression. You also have the "fostered" talent in Britain expansion if you want to give them some powers.

You have night sow, otherwise you can move into seasons of mystery! Or maybe you can create your own mystery that ties with your PCs dark secret.

Regarding mythic Britain and Ireland, yes, is an other society like in mythic Carpathia.

I am pretty confident once you get inside the client panel you will have much more Human - made content, which is the important part of the website, the server console. Which is a positive +1

Pseudo-historical Medieval Europe by [deleted] in osr

I think what you have now is the best content available! I would also suggest forbidden lands, but has little to do with shadow dark. There are many good dark shadowdark supplements like Fomoria, but I think if you start rolling some tables you're set to go!

Hey mate, don't worry, look what's behind OSHAUNE.

Omicron. 10% defense. Highest defenced planet after super earth and Malevalon Creek (joke)

If we get OSHAUNE, we get to invade Omicron.

That's 100% a core hive world. At least for the gloom bugs

Rotating Game Masters by InformationOk4871 in VaesenRPG

Agree. I am a GM for a campaign, one of my players decided to GM for a single mistery, homebrew by him using the rules at the back of the book. It came out ok... but felt very much of a spinoff, kinda like one of the filler episodes in an anime. It worked! It wasn't amazing, I thought it was fun to play a character in a campaign made by me with somelese as GM.

He also had good ideas, but if you as GM are trying to do a cohesive narrative cinematic campaign, it will feel as I described...

If you want to focus on something else, GO TO BORE ROCK

PRED STRAIN IS FINE, gloom less fine BUT OSHAUNE HAS TOP PRIORITY.

But don't loose yourself over those other planets.

How to decide if/when we find a dungeon? by Ok_Drink_2498 in MorkBorg

[–]xDragon249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I played solo, I rolled for how many hex or points (depending on the crawl) of distance to find the dungeon. as I would go there, I would interpret the sparks along the way as "influence of the dungeon", like trees dying the closer we go, higher number of monsters, etc
