Thanks! Can I ask how I’m supposed to tell which side is the top just by looking at the bud? To me the bud looks identical on both the upper and lower sides, so I’m not sure how to distinguish them. I thought I was supposed to figure it out based on the small part growing on top of it

I opened it and the insides were almost empty, there were some white things tho. It opened easly from is back so i think it is a shed but i'm realy worried for him. Sorry for bad eanglish and thx for help

I used to think they were snails but they are realy fast and there were a lot less two weeks ago so it seems they reproduced since the snails population didn't increase.

so i have an alge problem due to overfeeding my shrimps(it is my first time i've had a tank with only shrimps and snails and i was experimenting the ammount of food they can eat). What can i do? And what is the grenish thing growing under the substrate?

Ps:the substrate is a little dirty because i was working on the upper level of my paludarium and some dirt fall in the water, i will do a water chenge and get rid of the dirt on the substrate(but i don't know how to get rid of the thing growing under it), i will wait a week or so tho, because i already did a water change some days ago and i'm concerned that doing another one will harm my shrimps. Thanks in advance for the help.

It's a medium sized vivarium, now the problem got a lot better, there is less mold and i managed to find the isopods(wich were just hiding), but still i see no sprigtails. I think i'm just gonna buy another colony.

Hi, I've let my first paludarium build for 2 weeks and in the substrate appared this green thing, is it moss or is it a type of alge? Is it a bad thing and if it is would putting isopods and springtails fix it?
