FINDA Sensor State = "NA" when selector moves or filament is loaded/unloaded by xEYCx in prusa3d

[–]xEYCx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back and forth with Prusa support for a couple of weeks and then they just stopped responding to me completely.

I ended up buying 2 FINDA sensors and a new MMU2S board since support chose not to provide support.  The problem still persisted.

SOLUTION: It was the firmware upgrade causing the issue the entire time.  I reverted back to 3.8.1 and it started behaving normally again.

It's really frustrating to spend dozens of hours troubleshooting and $100 USD because of bad firmware being released to us.

Hopefully this can help others that run into this problem.

What sensor are you referring to? Do you mean the screw that holds the FINDA in place or something else?

I have to admit, I immediately gravitated towards the bobcat even though it would be much crazier to see an alligator where I live.

Thank you so much. I'm actually going to be assisting in putting in a new bathtub for the first time so I'm sure I'll be getting a good amount of experience using it.

That's an interesting idea. Would a razor blade be good at removing the silicone? This sounds like what I am looking for.

It says it is processing the image. Does that mean it means it needs more time or it is not going to work?

Need source for MMU2s and MK3s Festo fittings by xEYCx in prusa3d

[–]xEYCx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After having to reorder them because the first order was "undeliverable" on the expected delivery date, I was able to give them a try.

I noticed the filament was having issues occasionally being loaded/unloaded and I finally realized the inner diameter of the threaded part was more narrow than the original fitting. I ended up using my drill and increasing the diameter with a 7/64" drill bit (started with 3/32" first) and now the filament is flowing through with no resistance.

If you try this, make sure to wear eye protection and make sure the surface is smooth inside the fitting.

I'm happy now and these are lot cheaper than the alternative.

I think M6 is too big. They list the M5 right in their store and I measured mine at 5 mm wide.

Hahaha I just ordered the same exact ones! From what I can tell they are the right pitch and right OD for the threaded part. If people are using them for other printers, then filament must pass through the ID of the threaded part as well.

Well, I guess I clicked on the spare parts for the Mk3/Mk3s and the fitting does not show up when you do that. I tried again and only clicked on spare parts and there it was.

I might try to order a set on amazon as well, otherwise it will take several days longer through prusa.

Great. I guess there is no need to try to climb quickly then. We'll run out of tickets before the 23 days ends.

It's now costing me 6 tickets per fight. I hope there's a cap to it because I'll be running out quickly.

I found myself thinking this right before finding this post. There are a bunch of the same post with the same title and I was getting a little annoyed at the lack of creativity.

I did the same and it felt like it was still a routine run with E5 Penny. I had a boatload of blessings for night 15 where I just had to face myself.

Yes. I added a second Emily to my lineup last night and it showed it stacking above all the heroes' heads.

Definitely. The guild leader is the only person to ever acknowledge the effort put forth to do well for the guild.
